Has anyone got actual proof that doing this will, without a doubt help someone's chances of getting an increase ?
I doubt it's possible to confirm it (and even insiders wouldn't say), but it seems suspicious how, from what I've read, people with balances on the cards with a 35% APR manage to get a bigger increase than those who pay in full every month (who, if profit was not considered, would be the model customer)

I hate christmas. What ever happened to the old days where it wasn't about giving gifts, it was about having a traditional family dinner with a sing song around the piano with a glass of brandy in the evening and then bed by 8pm.

Now it's a commercialised pain in the @ss.

On a brighter note, I've resisted the temptation of putting gifts and other sh!te on the credit cards. :D

Littlewoods rejected me for "buy now pay later" before I moved to uni, so about 4 or 5 months ago at least. I'd assume the credit account app (https://www.littlewoods.com/rf/static.do?page=myaccount - the top one, is that what you've got?) is what I must have applied for. Are they easy acceptance?

I want to try again with them, because they have a hell of a lot more that I'd buy than JD Williams! But then I think I'd have to wait until about Feb so 6 months is up, and I don't want many searches close to June, so only really want to go for it if I'd get it:confused:

If Littlewoods rejected you 5 months ago and you are now in a better position to apply then try Empire...same goods, same prices etc

Thanks, I'll have a look at them. I guess as it's all identical I'll have to wait a few months to ensure I applied over 6 months ago when I apply?

I don't know if I'm in a better position to apply, Capital One seem to think so (accepted me about 4/5 months after they rejected me), but all I have now is a load of 0's from my credit card & mobile contracts:confused: I'll give them a go after Christmas though :)

MBNA have had 10 (I'm thinking more like 14, as I'm sure I sent the email on a Sunday!) of the 28 days they said, so hopefully they reply with good news soon, that'll be some Christmas present :rotfl:
