Quick question peeps. I have a few (4) defaults from 2004 and one from 2006. I have had green zeros from other accounts since over the last 4 years with no adverse over this time. Do you think HSBC will touch me for a Credit Card?

Mate the 4 defaults from 2004 drop off this year so wait til they are gone - 6 years from the date of default yea? Regards to the one from 2006, if this is all you have then you may get a CC with HSBC assuming you already have a full bank account with them :D

Soon to be 53 mate - i'm up there for the game at Hibs next week.... hope we win this week though, would be funny! :rotfl:

Nice one. Prob wait till the rest come off and go for a current account with HSBC then see what happens.

Would like the title to be won at home on Sunday but i'm not going to be there, but if won away from home then can just pop down to Ibrox to take part in the celabrations when the almighty Gers return.

Mate you cannot apply for a HSBC CC unless you bank with them, if you have a default from 2006 you'll struggle to get accepted..... just some friendly advice mate :D

Just done lower my bills on experian and it came up that my criteria matched 26 top cards,
How right and wrong is this..

PMSL - Experian are like a circus clown act, not that good and not even funny.

Firstly companies dont even use their comedy credit score and secondly they push you towards 'lower my bills' because as I understand it they get a kick back if you click on a link and apply for one of the products.

I did a lower my bills on their purely out of interest to see how I would fare, within 10 minutes I had an email from Experian asking why I hadnt clicked on any of the options.

They are in a no lose situation. If you click on the link and apply then get refused it doesnt affect them and if you click and get accepted they get more cash to develop their credit score calculator :rotfl:, it certainly needs it

Why? Such a waste of credit search.
