Hmmm - in the past there have been occasions where a shy phone advisor sees declined on the screen and is too embarrassed to say.

She did seem genuine when she said there was nothing on screen and she was looking on the website for more information.
She did seem to not know what to do in order to find out about my application.

I dont know wether i got through to the right department/adviser.

Does anyone know what number to call and what call options to follow.
  • apparently I need to wait 7-10 working days before I will find out if I can get a capital one card as im still being reviewed :(

They always say that, they said it to me after the letter had already been sent, looks like a decline I am afraid :(

Quick question peeps. I have a few (4) defaults from 2004 and one from 2006. I have had green zeros from other accounts since over the last 4 years with no adverse over this time. Do you think HSBC will touch me for a Credit Card?

People say lenders only usually look back at the last 3 years history, but I don't know if that applies to HSBC.

You don't have anything to loose by trying, but somehow I don't think you stand a chance with 4 defaults, unfortunately.
