If you recall I actually posted links - and also used past tense when referring to my own situation. If you want to help then post the answer and stop being a clever sod will you! You have this vendetta against me cos i've already had you banned under previous AE's for being a jerk - want it to continue or are you going to get off your high horse and offer advice? God get a grip will you !!!!!! - or we'll just get you banned for repeated abuse - simples :doh::doh:
The facts for you - was it so hard for you or indeed the OP to find this info out? Idiot that you are! :mad:Private Limited Companies, the most typical set up for small UK businesses cannot offer shares to the public, but may have any number of shareholders. Each Private Limited Company must have at least one director to make management decisions and a company secretary (Note - The Companies Act 2006 means that appointing a company secretary is no longer a legal requirement).2010 - year of the troll

I've just got a letter from Aqua, "In order to continue to process your application, additional information is needed to properly assess your request" apparently they've tried to contact me via telephone (if it was them, a withheld number rang me once, at half 6 (!) and it was literally for 2 seconds, I didn't even have time to answer before it stopped ringing, and I had the phone in my hand at the time!!)
I have to call them on their freepone number. What type of information would they want? It's from the head of underwriting.....
And so much for Royal Mail not redirecting government things - I've just had my ballot paper redirected to me! Talk about security risk or what! I'm not voting, and couldn't use that paper anyway, but surely it should have been returned! :eek:0 -

Then they asked if I have any other card and wanted to know if I'm working, I said no so they wanted to know how I got the income I declared, so I said it's Student Finance & parental contributions and she went quiet so I added that I thought it was ok to use that if I say I'm a student - she said every company has different rules but seemed to note it down that I'd said parental contributions and then said that they had discussed everything and one of them would make a decision this afternoon and I'd hear in writing within 5 working days, so sounds like a decline to me if they didn't like my source of income :rotfl:0 -
i just phoned aqua and was told to wait to hear from them as they have no information on their system regarding my application.0

Or read here: Set up and register a limited company (private or public ... or HM Revenue & Customs: Set up as a limited company
I've been director of several limited companies, works well as you pay yourself dividends (tax free) - so you do need a good accountant to save you money, but set up the company yourself mate - its easy! You do need a company secretary as well though, so someone that doesn't mind having their name associated with you....
thanks will have a read through it all tonight anyway as want to get it all setup sooner rather than later0 -

Hmmm - in the past there have been occasions where a shy phone advisor sees declined on the screen and is too embarrassed to say.0 -
