    Peeps,

Once my Cap 1 card arrives and I use it regularly to get the lovely green zero's what is the next best credit card I should try for? Was thinking giving it 6 months or so with Cap 1. Is a CCJ an instant decline with Barclays who I bank with? What about aqua, heard they are subprime but hard to get accepted for! Just been declined for Sygma silver

Things that will be giving me green zeros are:

Car loan with British Credit Trust (2yrs to go, no adverse)
JD Williams Catalogue account (Balance 20.50, limit £500)
    O2 Pay monthly phone (£45)
Fred West and Barclays basic accounts reporting green zeros even though no lending available.
Cap 1 card arriving soon (limit to be confirmed, balance zero lol)

    Thanks again good folks

i would try vanquis you cant have a ccj in the last 5 years with Barclaycard and auqa is hard to get with a ccj but you could give them a go

IMO vanquis are easier than aqua.

I have only recently been accepted for an aqua - i applied last year when my defaults were about to drop off and got declined, got accpeted a few weeks ago (still no card tho as of yet)

Barclays initial card maybe depending on when CCJ was issued?....

the ^ is a good thing to look at re Barclays. It doesnt credit check you but accessess your report to give a likely % of acceptance. Dunno if the initial is included in it tho...best to check

Does anyone know if the let me choose includes the initial? could be useful for some.

Standard vanquis card has a max limit of 2k
Gold card allows for higher limits.
I got my gold card only 8 months from account opening. I had no change in APR or T&C only changes to my credit limit.

Haha, it was basically automatic. Dear Zack, this email is regarding blah blah blah, in summery you want: Access to your credit report following redirection.... then it was alll a copy and paste job, i.e. confirm the redirect has been cancelled - I never said it had been cancelled for a start!

Exactly. I don't see why they can't supply it online if I provide details of the things I expect to be on there, where I lived before etc. Bunch of jobsworths
