I have been with vanquis 4 years or so now (i think) got initial limit of £250, the £750 the £12500 then £2000 - all within a year. i havent had a limit increase since tho, about 3 years now without one

Wonder what their maximum limit is? And whats the gold card? heard it mentioned but what is it? whats the diff in APR etc?

I believe it is £2K....so you are at the very limit.:D:D:D

But Brian is on £2250 , i dont use my vanquis card very much - just fuel, parking and train tickets for work - its easier to keep track if i can keep all expenses on one card.

Think it is possibly £2500 although Elky on here had over 3k. Mine has gone from 250-500-1250-1500 and now £2250.
Wasn't increased on my last monthly statement though which came out on 6th April only done in last 24hrs which has never happened before.
Eagerly awaiting a letter now telling me I can have a gold card.
Had account since Sept 08

Got an increase on my Halifax credit card today.Limit upped by £750.

Peeps,

Once my Cap 1 card arrives and I use it regularly to get the lovely green zero's what is the next best credit card I should try for? Was thinking giving it 6 months or so with Cap 1. Is a CCJ an instant decline with Barclays who I bank with? What about aqua, heard they are subprime but hard to get accepted for! Just been declined for Sygma silver

Things that will be giving me green zeros are:

Car loan with British Credit Trust (2yrs to go, no adverse)
JD Williams Catalogue account (Balance 20.50, limit £500)
O2 Pay monthly phone (£45)
Fred West and Barclays basic accounts reporting green zeros even though no lending available.
Cap 1 card arriving soon (limit to be confirmed, balance zero lol)
