Do you mean Argos Mastercard? If thats what you are referring to, then the answer is NO.0 -

The managed loan has been paid in full and settled since last year mate! No missed payments or anything adverse with HSBC.0 -

I am not sure but Argos are quite strict because the card comes with a interest free period for up to 6 months depending on how much you spend. I have a Argos card and I waited until my defaults fell off my credit file before I applied for it.
What adverse have you got on your credit file ?0 -

Then you should be ok to appeal the decision then.:)
You stand a good chance as long as the managed loan has been settled at least 6 month ago.0 -

I do have defaults on my file. Was wondering wether anyone has been sucessfull in getting a card with adverse data.
I want the store card. NOT the mastercard credit card.0 -

I think they are going to say no because of the defaults. Argos allows you to have a interest free period for up to 6 months every time you make a purchase on the store card depending on how much you spend which is why they are so strict.
Argos is not a subprime card so it harder to get if you have adverse.0 -
Argos told me to clear off in the summer, I did only have 2 months credit history at the time though...0
