    how do i check?

Have you got a cifas entry? You need to SAR cifas to find out - see here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1950011&highlight=

You'll see the cifas details, on post 1.

Oh, that's of course if you listen to my advice! ;);)

I thought they were the same cifas and NH?

Was accepted for that sygma card, tried RBS and after a referal was told about National Hunter database, as well as credit rating, and other information held and then something about national hunter.

I wish I kept the reply, I’m confused!

N Hunter is a fraud prevention agency and work alongside Experian only. RBS use N Hunter, Sygma do not. You cannot remove data from N Hunter cos it is data that you declared, this will not affect you so long as you do not have the words "applicant refer" against your name. If so, you've been caught falsifying details from one application to the last.

You can also SAR N Hunter.

You'd be best to save your £20 on the 2 SAR's and stop bloody applying! Give it a year and everything will be tidied up - but you're looking too deep into something without the facts - get your credit files first. Unless you NEED credit and know you're not likely to be declined, based on your credit files, then you can SAR N Hunter/CIFAS.

Pointless doing this if you know you've had too many searches etc and will be declined anyway!:rotfl:

    3 Application Fraud (Facility Granted)
An application/proposal for any facility with one or more material falsehoods in the information provided - the facility was granted

    4 Application Fraud (Facility Refused)
An application/proposal for any facility with one or more material falsehoods in the information provided - the facility was refused

You should have copied the reply so we can see what exactly it said.

Sygma does not check National Hunter as they search Equifax only. As you got accepted for a silver mastercard with them, i don't think you have a problem with CIFAS. Sgyma are reowned for their strict fraud checks.

You should check ur Experian credit report and also SAR to National Hunter. Have you made a mistake with the credit application with RBS?
  • cheers guys

just wondering is it possible i can obtain a credit report online that shows all info CC Ex and Eq hold on me? in one report, as opposed to just infor held by them separately?

i need to work out my next move

  • am i cifas-ed????????????????
My initial post did not mean that if you get declined by SYGMA, you get a CIFAS, it was just posted to remind the power of this thread, ie thousands of people reading the posts, all applying at the same time!
2 years ago after a massive acceptance came a tide of CIFAS'S from SYGMA!
I think that if you were declined by flybe card, but accepted by silver card, it's unlikely to be down to a CIFAS issue.:)

Mate - are we crossing posts? HE SHOULD NOT SAR ANYONE AT THIS STAGE!

N Hunter is entirely different and pointless SARing them - the applicant declared the data - save your tenner and stop applying willy nilly.

Ok, all lenders use the same term when they decline - along the lines of it could be due to affordability OR data retrieved from a CRA or 3rd party fraud agency. IT DOES NOT mean they have found or registered anything.

N Hunter does not allow provision to decline, it simply sends the lender a null report which means they have to manusally look at the application taking into account the mis-matched information.

If you have an "applicant refer" marker - then you will never get automatic acceptance from anyone that searches Experian. However the lender CANNOT decline because of this reason, without first investigating with the lender that added the marker in the first place.

    Make sense? lol :o

  • Jesus not you again - I thought we'd got rid of you last time......

Learn to spell experience before you try and refer to it in context, there's a good [STRIKE]boy[/STRIKE] troll.

I guarantee you if you applied in January and were declined, then applied again in March - you would have been super declined, as you do not meet the main criteria, i.e. applying again within a certain period. Now, having spoken to them myself they confirmed that you should wait 3 months before applying, after a decline, however Flybe stipulates 6 months. Upon questioning, the member of staff I spoke to said well maybe it is best to wait 6 months but definitely wait 3 months.

So, on to your CIFAS "claim". You are aware I was the one that fought the sygma cifas and got it removed, last year? Basically, if you have any Equifax mis-match they will always add a CIFAS (cat4) without fail, until you contact them and provide proof you are who you say you are. Ergo, if you say you've worked at Joe Bloggs garage for 10 years when you apply in January, but then say you've worked there for 8 years when you reapply in July, you'd get a CIFAS. Easy to get removed, direct from Creation.

I don't know what your problem is but I think you'll find people on here tend to stick to facts, not opinions from some idiot with an even bigger idiotic username.

Don't be so keen to defend the Niddy - over what? Facts?

    Muppet! Go away - there's a good boy! :rotfl::rotfl:
