Celebrating my first debt free birthday in 9 years today :D GF is cooking me a steak that's about 2" thick for tea!

Edit: Glad to see the trolling has stopped.
Glad you're debt free :) I've never been in debt, I'm just here because I'm a student and banks hate me, but can imagine it must be such a relief to be free from debt! I've seen stories of people paying £20+ in interest every day and other ridiculous amounts! Must be such a burden!

    Enjoy your stake haha! :D

Just a quick question, mainly for Never in doubt but anyone whi can help.
I posted a while back regarding late payment marks on an old British Gas account which is now sorted thanks to nid and also 2 defaults registered for one debt at 2 different addresses and 2 different amounts being £1600and £2500 same debt and account number. The DCA is Cabot and after reading a few posts this seems to happen a lot with them.
Anyway sent letter from nid to cabot with no reply so far so raised an online query with Equifax. Cabot have iinstructed them to remove the 1600 entry and asked me to contact directly on 01752 tel no to discuss the other directly. Equifax have put dispute notice on my report but what are chances of the other entry being removed. Any help appreciated :money:

    Still ongoing.
Cabot sent reply to Equifax today saying that I only have one account not 2 so remove one entry but other is still there in fact as of today they both are. Notice on Equifax says that data is disputed and advises lenders to check carefully regarding my credit worthyness as opposed to taking on board the defaults. Sent your template letter to Cabot but nothing back, on Equifax update it just says, advise consumer to contact us directly on 01752 blah blah blah to discuss repayment.
What details do you need by PM
