The hard sell for PPI (well 3-D Protection as they say) wasn't too bad. They weren't over pushy when activating.

thats great, did they mention 0% for a period for purchases and BT? I think mine was for 3 months.
    6 Months @ 0%.
Will move my Natwest Balance over as I don't have 0% BT on that card, but get 4% on purchases for 9 Months.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

got a feeling i might apply for the flybe card tonight.they are both sygma bank royal but dont know if they score differently on both cards..i do know alot of people on here have got a silver card and flybe card....http://www.cardsmart.co.uk/providers/laser-uk/laser-silver-mastercard.html

They are all scored the same mate and if you fail one you must wait 6 (or 9) months before reapplying.... they exclusively search Equifax as well. :p

Why (or 9)? I was hoping to try one of them again in the summer which is over 6 months from whenever I was declined... don't want instant rejection for not waiting 9 though :\

I thought I read somewhere that if you got declined to wait 9 months, for an increase you can ring 3 monthly and ask for a third.... it was on summat they sent me - i'll see if I have a scanned copy later.

I may be wrong, it may well be 6 months, just remember seeing it somewhere... :o:o

You'd do best to build a full 12 months before you go into snowball again mate - you will not do yourself any favours - I used to apply for the hell of it cos I didnt really need the credit or whatever - but see now, i've been really good and only made a couple of app's this year to date!

I will resist! Then at the end of the 12 months when my searches are empty, my cifas are gone (tomorrow hopefully) and my file is back to normal i'll be accepted for most of what I apply for, i'd assume.

I have been in same employer for many years, own home, good income, no debt etc etc - but it'd be interesting to compare - you know i'll do it, just waiting for a clean credit file now to see the reverse of what i've experiences all year so far :rotfl:

Ah cool. I'll wait to be sure then!

12 months as in getting searches knocked off? I thought they only counted for 6 months though? I was 18 last may so coming up to 12 months history soon (contract and Natwest card both started in May). My application sprees were August before uni and December.... problem is this stupid overdraft is going to really trash it...I'm going to have a shot at getting another report sent out and hope it's redirected, I want to try and pinpoint what day of the month they base it on...then I'll magically have a positive balance on that day :rotfl:

If they refuse me I might try for a Halifax student account in the summer....if my transfer goes through I'll be first year, see if they'll accept me that way!

Celebrating my first debt free birthday in 9 years today :D GF is cooking me a steak that's about 2" thick for tea!

Edit: Glad to see the trolling has stopped.
