Mate if you want HSBC then apply in branch as you can appeal there and then with the manager....... personally, i'd be trying after you've had Sygma for a few months as this will boost your internal score a long way (i.e. it will show hsbc that you can handle mainstream credit)...

Can't wait for Niddy to apply to Sygma.

Wisely holding off for the CIFAS records to drop off but I can only imagine the look on his face if it were to be a decline... :rotfl: Although after a semi-yes for a £7,200 Egg Money I doubt Sygma'll say no.

I applied for the Donate as you Spend card matey, didn't make a note of the application reference and it was referred, not straight acceptance, so I'll just have to wait and see :o

Oh the Egg Money - I never told you about that did I?

I got a letter from Citi last week....

" after reviewing your financial status we are making the buisness decision to close your citi gold account with immediate effect. Your account is now a prepayment account only and when the balance is paid off the account will be closed"....

Great news I think - but my balance is already at £0 so what now then?

"ring ring - hello Citi it is Mr Niddy - why you closing my account"

"Citi - cos we perform regular data checks with CRA's and notice as part of your Egg application that you have several adverse entries against you - sorry, not up for discussion =- tough !!!!!!, eat my pants kinda attitude!

    "Niddy - ermm, ok bye!"

So after HSBC playing silly beggars it now looks like Citi want to play with me - ok, SAR time for Citi - lets see what they really think when I rip their processes and data retention apart - they messed with the wrong doodio! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mate - they so do not make me laugh!!

I couldn't believe citi done that - !!!!!!! I dont care, sod em.... never used the thing anyways but still, they are quite bad to link to my egg application and use the data received from the CRA's with that to close my current account that was in like, erm, £0 debt!! Clever move Egg/Citi!

HSBC is on hold, I don't want to go in so won't - they can come and see me in court - anyday they want, but they keep declining my request so we're at stalemate.

Without proof of their "allegations" I will not back down and for the proof, they must take me to court. They have been fishing in the english channel looking for bluefin tuna and they just aint gonna find any! :p:p

Regards to the CCJ we can get that stuck off for you if you let us know details mate - just start a thread over here:: Debt-Free Wannabe and i'll come over and get my mate (10past6)to come and see if it can be wiped due to procedural errors (but you'd have to pay the debt of course)....

Thanks NID I'll get my thoughts together and start a thread soon.

Don't know about procedural errors but Alexander James were awful to deal with from the get go.
Still makes my blood boil when I think about trying to deal with them!

I don't dispute that I owe the money, I *want* to pay it back - probably can't in one go as have darling daughter to feed, but I'll pay it. It's just talking to Alexander James to sort the payment out that daunts me after past experiences.
regards to the DCA - when did you last pay? Bear in mind the Statute Barred clock is ticking - but post details here and we'll get them off your back for you: Unenforceability & Template Letters III
Ummm... 2006 as far as I know. Default was lodged 15/06/2007 according to the CRAs, for almost £2.5k

The actual balance owed was way under £2k til they started adding everything and anything on. I have letters from so many different DCAs I don't know who the hell owns it now - Equifax says it is Phoenix Recoveries, Experian says Credit Account Management; don't know who they are, I've never had a letter from them! I seem to recall reading they were Phoenix in disguise? Or have I got my knickers in a twist yet again? LOL.

Haven't had any letters for at least a year. I'll post it on the other thread when I get my head together and check what dates I can.

Thanks again NID, didn't mean to go on about these so much on this thread :o
