Christ that can't be easy. :o
it would be fine IF i was able to work a set pattern each week but as things stand i'm having to claw extra hours as they are seeming to do their best to screw up my tax credits due to them tending to give me less than 16 hours a week.

I'll be much happier if i can get out of there into somewhere more flexible and with the ability to set my hours in stone for a while.

Likewise, i am in a similar situation as you. But got 2 young boys, one is 2 and the other 10 months.

I do have a job but hours have been cut, and salary reduced by over 6% in real terms, so it is not easy.
whilst the o/h was pregnant i was raking in the hours which cud include 2 18hour days back to back with another 2 12hour days and a 6hour day and a 8hour day.

now i'm lucky to get an 8 hour shift.

mis-management of staff and also the fact that since i started there last year they have taken on like 20 ppl but have only lost/got rid of about 4

LOL yeah. How much time does your last default drops of your credit file? It won't be very long waiting now you got a proper credit card and use that in the meantime.

As for HSBC/FD, it is always possible to get accounts even if you have defaults depending on the circumstances. Try appealing. It is NOT impossible - so don't dream.

Thanks, I may try them then, if they decline, I'll appeal.

My defaults drop off in Dec 2012 and Jan 2013. Not too long now.

The 2 card i have now will build my file so much (I hope).

Can't wait for Niddy to apply to Sygma.

Wisely holding off for the CIFAS records to drop off but I can only imagine the look on his face if it were to be a decline... :rotfl: Although after a semi-yes for a £7,200 Egg Money I doubt Sygma'll say no.

I applied for the Donate as you Spend card matey, didn't make a note of the application reference and it was referred, not straight acceptance, so I'll just have to wait and see :o

Blimey. 18hrs days??? Management does need sorting out, the pp at mgt should look at themselves and think if they are up to the job!!

Tax credits....don't remind me! I had a woeful experience dealing with these people!
