They write to you and then send out cards mate - they first sort the bank account and work out internal score THEN they do CC application based on said internal score. Obviously at outset you were acceptable, but that does not mean you're guaranteed!

I had it with first direct remember - they told me the limit etc - then when I signed the CCA they declined me! Its all the same process.... :p

I hope you get it, course mate! Expect a £500 - £1000 limit MAX.

I should get it. My file is good enough.

Once everything is set up, I may ask them what my internal score is. Do they have some sort of secure messaging?

    Ok matey - nice one.

Yes secure messages, but they will not tell you scores lol - you see it in branch when you have a financial review.... ;);)

You have no score from 0 - 6 months..... a score is built up within these 6 months and to get the best score, have direct debits going out, wages in and create a websaver and transfer via standing order an amount each month..... use debit card for purchases NOT cash and also do not go overdrawn - this will boost you into the 70's allowing for personal loan - after only 6 months.

    Hope that helps matey :p

Haha ah yea, I remember now!

Is there a list of what RBS issue? I don't want to apply for 2 at once if they're gonna refer (and probably reject) me for it....

I was thinking Vanquis, Tesco & JJB.... which are all fine, I think, don't want to go and pick another though!

Tesco is RBS (right now) :rotfl::rotfl:

It does help. I'll try do everything by the book to build up a decent score.

Well there's no chance of seeing my score. My nearest branch is like 50 miles away. :rotfl:

Haha, I'm thinking of trying for it and doing the above, but I don't fancy a financial review :rotfl:

Oh and that reminds me of the BS Cap1 said to me....if I setup direct debit it'll help me get a bigger increase, if I make it setup to pay the full payment it'll help me get an even bigger increase........whatever liars!! :rotfl:

Haha, yea I know that, I mean those 3 are ok in that they won't clash, as JJB is Sygma and Tesco is RBS. I just don't want to see something else and think oooh lets go for that and be rejected, like when I made 2 apps to Halifax (Sainsburys card later turned out to be them) and 2 to MBNA :rotfl:

There are plenty of Sygma cards to choose from and they all do the same scoring; are you sure you want one with JJB plastered all over it? The silver card is mich nicer and shinier :o

I think JJB used to give a discount or something, but yea I'll have to have a look at other Sygma cards too before I apply, got to wait a while yet

At least I can get my new England shirt in a few days :D Got to wait til 19th (or whenever Natwest feel like making me a statement, generally it's around 19th -> 23rd) then it's on the bill to be paid in May and not this one :D :rotfl:

I recently switched all my DDs and salary payments (about £1500/mth) into my Natwest Step account (first salary goes in at the end of this month, DDs to follow shortly after).

Will opening their (terrible rate) eSaver and setting up a regular payment into it help me with their internal scoring process with a view to upgrading to a full current account in 6 months time? Any thoughts?
