They said if my first purchase is over £165 I get it at 0% for six months, so I'm thinking, £995 on a new PC; seems like an ideal opportunity to replace the ageing old box without paying interest...

    EDIT: Already specced him up:

No need for a monitor as I already have a 24" Full HD and 19" TFT; sounds are covered by way of a Rotel amp and Kef speakers so no need for some shoddy Logitech boom box crap ;)
Haha looks nice... the price doesn't look so nice though! My laptop turned up yesterday, UPS took their time to get here though!

you may need a bigger power supply (800watt), but not a bad setup.

I just got my cosmos s case at £169.00 from scan.

This is the thing, do I go with the Antec unit (or a OCZ Stealth XStream 600W for £10 less), which are known to deliver ripple-free power at 20% over their rated maximum output, or some no-name 800W+ unit (which it'd have to be to stay under £1,000) which probably can't deliver half that ripple free and won't be nearly as efficient?

I agree I'd be more comfortable with an 800W unit, but not this one:

... I was considering replacing the Antec with this unit:

    http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/451

As they state it can deliver 735W well within ATX spec.

    This:

Says I only need 465W.... LOL not on your life!

RE: Your case - I thin that Jeantech case is a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing - dirt cheap, but excellent reviews - tool free installation, rounded edges inside, support beam for 2x 120mm fans vertically in the middle of the case, etc. Can't justify five times as much on a Coolermaster although their new range look quite tasty...

I can always look at water cooling at a later date if needs be, I don't know whether I'll overclock... I have OCZ in my current rig and haven't overclocked it atall... but thats mainly my current mobo chipset being poo. (nVidia 570)

Large limits, but quite high APR's. Better than Aqua and Vanquis though. :)
