For a grand I think I've found a good balance between default performance, quality, and overclockability, but if you have any suggestions keeping in mind the budget I'm all ears :):)

You've got what seems to be a good system mate, no disputing that but like I say I also have a fandabidosie self build but never use it, its in my garage! Its 18 months old and most the core components will probably already (well factually) be outdated - but at the time, like you, it was a novelty that I wish i'd not bothered with cos to me, it was a waste.

I'd deffo suggest you look into a water colling system - they beat traditional coolers by a mile.... IMO (what's an extra £200 when you're spending that amount?).....

OCZ, IMO is the best RAM - forget crucial - not a patch in reality.... yea, you can overclock but when you fry it then you have no comeback - OCZ, lifetime guarantee - blow the ram and they send you more within a matter of days.

Again, these are things from experience - but good luck, it will be a beast and a half when you're done..... :T

    Cheers :)

I can always look at water cooling at a later date if needs be, I don't know whether I'll overclock... I have OCZ in my current rig and haven't overclocked it atall... but thats mainly my current mobo chipset being poo. (nVidia 570)

    Can't wait!

I went into Starbucks after work and had the weirdest experience.

Starbucks Guy: What do you want?
    Me: Caramel Hot Chocolate please
    *Starbucks guy starts making drink*
Me: Pull out First Direct Debit Card
Starbucks Guy: How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
Me: 19, why do you ask? (I look quite young for my age)
Starbucks Guy: I was wondering as you had a FD card. Have you just finished work then?
    Me: Yes!
Starbucks Guy: Nice, what do you work as?
Me: I work in a special needs department within a secondary school
    Starbucks Guy: You're really lucky.
    Me: Thanks.... bye!

There I am in the queue at Starbucks. The man in front of me orders his drink.

Starbucks Guy: What can I get you sir?
Man: Can I have (looks at display)...a tall black skinny americano?
Me: Are you ordering coffee or an American president?
