Im new here, well been lurking for a while:D Just wanted to say thanks to Never-In-Doubt for giving me some basic advice earlier re a problem i have with an account placed on my credit file by Virgin Group, strangely enough was set up in 04 but only just appeared on Equifax:eek:.Funny thing is its showing as all green zero and not in default or anything:eek: and i dont even have a Virgin account or anything with Virgin!!!!!!!!!!

Will wait to see what the complaints manager at Virgin who i was speaking to today re this issue has to say on Monday:)

Have a good weekend all :-)

Virgin have done the same thing to me and so I raised a dispute with equifax because I have never had a account with virgin media either.

It showing green zeros at the moment but who knows what they will change it to so I need to get it removed ASAP.

If it was me I would happily leave it and if it ever goes downhill then dispute it, it can only be having a positive impact on your credit file.

If someone obtained credit using my details I would not happily leave it - regardless of whether it's used or not it's still ID fraud at the end of the day!

There is no proof either way at the moment it is ID theft.

I could just be Equifax mismatching data. If it adds to your creditworthiness is it wrong to use it. They are not fast to move incorrect information, I would take advantge of it.

(sorrt to OT) savagej - seroquel kinda works for me....am over the recommended dose but i think it's helping a bit more than the lower dose did. I slept like a log for the first week of dose increases but then I get nightmares again. If you need a good anti-d I think Reboxetine is good, I'm on that too.

back to credit searches - I idiotically applied for Barclaycard as I have a Barclays acount - computer says no....so I'm gonna wait til the end of the year with my green 0's on Voda, Barclays and Vanquis and try again.

I know it is now off the CRA database and so is not affecting my ability to get new credit, but I beleive it is collectable for 20 years from the date they got it.

Its collectable for 6 years mate - limitation act is clear on that one, 6 years of no acknowledgement = SB'd. :D:D
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o
