When they re-search me for my 2nd app would they take searches into account? I wanted to leave my card unused and apply again after my app spree....0 -
Thanks, nothing has changed really apart from more payments? More time at the address I suppose...

It could be that your spending/payment history is matched to an ideal customer so therefore they have lowered the APR on the way you have maintaned the account.
What second app mate?Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

There was talk about a week ago that if you leave your card unused for 3 months you can apply for a 2nd card, if accepted they'll close your old one down (thus saving you taking the risk of closing the card so you can apply again). I'll email to get confirmation though, don't want to waste a search!0 -
Hmmm, that's certainly possible I agree, but it seems strange how 4 months ago I was only good enough for a shocking limit (that it seems like I'm set to keep for life), and on making a few payments of less than 100 quid they've upped my limit (fair enough that was the agreement) and cut my APR - they now won't do anything else ever!

It prevailed that the info about not using the card for 3months was a load of BS. I have secure messaged cap 1 about this and have been advised that this is not the case. If you look at the pre-requistes for the progress card it states that you cannot currently hold another capital one card.Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

Thanks, that ruins my plan! Can't try for a higher limit with them until I get another card or a job then.....

Yea I know you can't hold another card, but thought the 3 month thing could be right in that your account could be deemed inactive, and so they'd just shut it down....apparently not though!
