im on olanzapine 15mg and 1000 mg of lithium

I am bipolar and take 15mg of olanzapine and 1600mg of Lithium. I find that the olanzapine really zonks me out and helps me with my sleep especially during manic period. The lithium really works though in stabilising my mood. It took quite a while for my psych to give me the lithium as it has side effects especially on your thyroid and you need monthly blood tests.

i was almost offered this

i think ill just ask for more olanzapine, which actually helps because im tryna put on weight

isnt there anything else?

cif have you ever had Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) i did in the 1994 did not work

I would take the Lithium before I would raise my Olanzapine dose. It really does work but, as I say, it needs close monitoring.

Never had ECT and it has never even been hinted it. I wouldn't accept it if it was.

The Olanzapine makes me sleep so can sometimes stay in bed til 2pm. When I am depressive, however, I can sleep 15-18 hours a day. I would get up to pee, have a bowl of corn flakes and then go straight back to bed.
