Remember the CRA can also advise the lender that there 'is a pattern of NOD's' - it's well within their remit as data processor.

Surely someone who has a bad memory will want to make sure all the information is valid, not just some?

Trust me mate, my ex had a nervous breakdown prior to meeting me and forgot about many accounts he had and applied for so I know the process when it comes to a) how someone can forget things like this and b) how to go about making sure all the information is correct.

I know what you're saying but you will only get away with it the once and it really isn't worth it.

CIFAS (i.e. fraud) is not always interpreted around physical fraud mate, the fact you're saying you cannot remember applying is not a good enough reason if the lender thinks hang on, he did apply, why is he now saying he cannot remember?

Anyway, if they are doing it - good luck. Just bear in mind when you genuinely need to get them removed, i.e. a second attempt - you'll be met with much harder resistance.
