Ah right sorry!!!
If you are given a blue Lloyds debit card, it will be Full Auth.
My Lloyds cards are Green and start 4921 - they aren't full auth, they are offline.
Barclays cards starting 4658 are full auth, 4659 and 4539 are offline.

Except in the case of Lloyds TSB who no longer offer CG on any cardsMine has no CG but it is offline (which took a bit of getting used to with the available balance not being live but very quickly became accustomed to it!)

My Barclays Visa is also CGC and contactless
Seems like your Barclays visa if full debit card and not full auth. Full visa can be used on the trains. It is full visa if it is CGC. With barclays, only full visa cards are contactless - not the full auth
Edit: just seen your correction0 -
my CRAs are incorrect and getting a linked address removed.0

I thought 4921 was Visa Electron?
My Barclays starts 4539 and my Halifax starts 4462 - when I worked at Barclays we were given a site where you could type the BIN number into it for any bank in the world, and it would tell you the issuer, and what type of card it was etc...0 -

Hi Guys, i have been following this thread for some time and would like your advice regarding applying for Sygma cards
1. What is is the best card to go for first?
2. Is it worth applying as they seem to CIFAS quite a lot?
My Equifax Credit History is as follows
No Adverse e.g CCJs, CIFAS, Defaults etc..
On the Voters Roll at current address for 1 year, (recently new to credit all acounts opened in last 9 months)
1 Barclarcard Initial (opened Jan10 £400 limit)
1 Full Current Account Santander (no overdraft)
1 Shop Direct Account (6 0s £250 limit 0 Balance)
1 Vodafone Contract
1 Creditbuilder (6 months history)
Previous searches 2 in the last 6 months
1 to Barclaycard in Jan 2010 (accepted)
1 to Capital One in Jan 2010 (declined...was accepted online then declined..think because I had applied within 6 months)
Is it work applying for a Sygma or best waiting 6 months?
Your circumstances are almost identical to mine and they declined me.
I had and Aqua card opened 10/2009 and now have capital one and barclaycard initial opened in February, after Sygma declined me.
I would wail at least for six months. 12 to be sure. In my case I will reapply after the summer, when the Aqua card is 12 months and the other two 6 months.0 -

LOL so did I when I saw the card number on their screen!!
Maybe it used to be at some point in the distant past and the BINs have been re-allocated?
All I know is it's a full VISA debit and is Offline... means I can't keep a running total of what's in my account "real time" which is ever so slightly frustrating but not a problem because I'm a tight fisted scrooge anywayCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
