I basically work for banks and insurers and catch the dirty thieving little barstewards in the act! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::eek:

Regards to your employer tell them straight and let them investigate - you have rights you know!

Am in the clear due to my brother finding the info about the drug. all above board but my problem about the company is them not doing the research or the lab having the knowledge to come up with the reason they found the drug.

But i could of lost my job and career over if i accepted there fail and was unable to prove the reason

Thanks izools, kind of figured that would be the answer, i have always had a large amount of credit available to me ( i have around £75k in credit lines available now) but i just wondered if its never been a problem before is it likely to change now?

Yeah it's likely to change now!

Creditors are totally revising their approach to the market and as a (very) rough guide having more than 50% of your income available over all your credit lines totted up is going to mean an affordability based NO usually ;) (With credit cards that is, mortgages and loans are scored differently)

  • Lol, surely you book appt to see the rel manager then say i'll think about it etc til you get what you want, then you ignore him.....

that limit is disgraceful mate, I thought you'd be on at least £1,000's not £100's! That's shocking....

You can call the relationship manager (RM) on there mobile number. You do not have to meet up with them :)

  • I received my Vanquis card a few days ago and rang the activation line (0871 770 4770). It asks you to enter the 16 digit account number, which I did, I then get a recorded message saying 'I'm sorry I'm unable to access your account details at present, please call back during opening hours when one of our representatives will be happy to help'

I've tried three times now and get the same msg each time, does anyone know if you can only activate during opening hours? Could it be that they've changed their mind about giving me a card?!

When I got the card I did ring the 0800 number and tried to check the balance (via automated service) but it said it couldn't access the account - could I have confused it by trying to access other services without activating?

Obviously I'll ring them tomorrow and see what they say but was wondering if anyone had encountered similar.

Best bet would be to call back within working hours lol.

TBH I cannot remember activating my Vanquis card...

Cheers matey, so hopefully all will be well and good with me getting the cards!

I once lost/damaged sooo many Natwest cards that they said they were going to start charging me lol
Haha, yea you should be fine with the cards. The only problem is accounts where you get things delivered, if they don't use Royal Mail you won't get it. JDW demanded on sending my stuff home, despite the fact I sent them an email (from my uni account!) saying I was a student, I wouldn't be back there for ages, I can do loads to prove my identity etc. Some companies post using RM though, so when they demand it's sent to card address it still gets here :rotfl: :D
Lol no mate 6 in 6 months or 13 per annum is the norm. Thus if you've got clean file for 6 months then you could apply for 5 or 6 accounts in a weekend - no probs. :p:p
Do they not see the date of searches though? I.e. 2nd Feb, 3rd Feb, 10th Feb, 14th Feb would suggest that something may well be going wrong in Feb - where if you had say 4th Sept, 5th Nov, 17 & 18th Dec, 20th Jan then it would seem more normal and that you were just having a general browse?

Oh and about this new account stuff, most of mine are coming up to a year. What is the case with my Natwest accounts? The "start date" is like 2003 for one and 2004 for another, but they only started reporting when I turned 18 (May/June 09), so is that another new account, or do places see them as old accounts and my stability (despite the fact that under 18 they were pretty useless....)

Just ordered a £100 cheque guarantee card from first direct. Was quite impressed that they didn't want to know why I want one or give me the third degree about how cheque are being faded out.
