Well I have just cleared and closed my Vanquis card. £1100. Used the rest of my savings and I am now a pauper! Things will be very tight for a while but it feels good to have the account closed and not paying £40pm interest.

Argh! What do I do!

There is a vacancy on the JobCentre website for WH Smith. It says New Street station but the postcode is for Birmingham International station. And there is no phone number to ring!

Where would the interview be? I assume at the place you have to work, so apply and if it's the wrong one cancel it? I'm looking for ones here, I just get told "South of England".....thanks, that really narrows it down!!! :rotfl: :mad:

I do feel better even thought I am now stony skint! Just resented the ever rising APRs the longer you have been with them. Hardly repaying loyalty.

Haha yea I understand that, I mean if it's somewhere you can't get to (so at the other station) then cancel it. Like when they say "South of England" if it turns out to be somewhere I don't want I'd just withdraw the application...

Oh I can get to it. I can get the commuter train direct to New Street (takes about 10 minutes) then I can change to another train to get to the station at the airport (takes another 10 minutes).

I think I will send my CV to WH Smith at New Street and see what happens.
