If it's your only default and you are managing your other accounts well you might be able to get back on the mainstream ladder once the default is 3+ years old. Depends who you apply to and how strong the rest of your application / credit file is ;)

Exactly, the likes of Tesco will go back 2 years so if you have a great history in the last 2 years they don't always go any further back :D

    1 default from HSBC

they took my account away aswell, had no account 2 years back, opened a few basic accounts, they were all cash cards no debits then recently a few upgraded the card to electron or visa debit, but lloyds were useless, i could only with draw from lloyds ATM's!!!!!

Got a nice job, pays modest but progression and i've now got cap one and vanquis, and I received from N&P a ‘gold’ account with an OD lol

Recently got a sim only phone on my name, have a contract phone but in my elderly fathers name L

I’ve not incurred bank charges as yet since the HSBC fiasco

cheers btw much appreciated, you lot are brilliant on here

Good man - let us know how you get on, hopefully better than me lol
Flybe = Sygma = 6 years mate

BUT they only take into account the relevant information, whatever that means!

Some get it, others don't - its case-by-case mate. :p

Am going to have a chat with them cause will be paying in over 4k a month to the account and at least they can do is give me proper access to my money
