I received a cifas because someone @ my old address had their identity stolen:eek:

The "protective" cifas dropped off last week:j

Usually you can't with Vanquis but it doesn't say - which is strange cos the freemand card does say you cannot have more than one card!

I'll apply now lol....

I got my tesco CC and PIN yesterday and successfully transferred £1,250 balance from my other credit card tonight. So looks like i have passed the AVU...thank god for that!

I am tempted to do another credit application, as i know in a few weeks time, the tesco CC will appear on credit file and will make it harder to find further credit.

Which ones do you recommend me to apply -easiest card to be accepted that are not subprime other than Flybe CC, Silver Card and Tesco?

I'd consider the MBNA - but the Classic card - as the pass mark is much lower than their other cards (I got one with only one year history at the age of 19) and the APR is still good at 17.9% and they do 1.9% balance transfers. That's Experian x1 search.

If you wanted to give an Equifax search up, too, you could try for a Barclaycard Gold (or Initial if you want to be in for a better chance - they'll reduce your APR after six months anyway)

NID - Are you having any problems applying for that diamond card? On my previous address it wont let me select the number of years, I chose the drop down menu and it just has years to select?

So that ended stalemate with them winning the battle of wits cos 'legally' unless I call their bluff they can add the cifas - I thought about it and realised that after gaining a payout from the CRA's a judge will not award me anything for the same, linked offence that I got paid out for previously.

In a nutshell, it'd be daft to fight them - it'll be gone next month!

Ahh that makes sense for the CIFAS then! Bet filling in 100 forms was fun.... Roboform etc can help somewhat, but not very useful with banking things!

Its Vanquis so I think it will decline!
