MBNA search Experian only when you apply for a card, they use Equifax if you are an existing customer asking for a credit limit increase.
I would have though the MBNA Classic is easier to get than the PO card purely because the APR is high - albeit marginally - so they would take on marginally higher risk customers.:o

So they use N Hunter for previous CC applications submitted previously and compare them?
Basically they consult N Hunter database before opening an account and sending out a card? If card and PIN arrives, means all good?0 -

Barclaycard of course only search Equifax so you could try for one of them too and it would still only be one footprint on each file
I have to disagree on that, as every lender have their own critieria so it vary and i think 17.9% is a reasonable APR at this time it does not mean lower credit scoring. Anyway a lot of CC issuers are increasing rates . some up to 15% of APR from orginal APR so that it pays for the defaulters who don't pay their debts back!0 -
Thats 5 searches in 2 days - not bad Niddy, not bad mate! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So am i right among those lines re N Hunter NID?
If i was to apply for another CC say with HSBC for example, what will happen regarding consulting N Hunters database? Compare to my previous application i have made with Tesco? Or more applications i submitted a couple years back, with mobile phones contracts etc.0
