Well, some good news after my spate of bad luck trying to get a consolidation loan, I applied for a current account and credit card with NatWest, current account accepted but declined the credit card on the grounds of affordability (that was their reason) so I appealed.

When appealing they asked the reason and I told them I was wishing to transfer my Monument and Capital One balance over.
Today I checked my Equifax file and they done an unrecorded search, so I phones them and said I have been accepted with an £850 limit on their classic card, over joyed now I can get rid of both of my high interest cards.

Not sure if I will get the 0% for 15 months as advertised but I will wait and see.

One sentence in letter saying they were "unable to open an account for me at this time"
  • 100% behaviour score pass mate - I had it opened after 3 months of my PLus account and cos my behaviour score was 70 at the time, it was instantly approved but they did do a footprint, not a search though. They used CallCredit for this as well, therefore no probs as it was empty lol :D

Call credit is where I still have probs..... I suppose I must re-join once again!

That's what I've just done. Had a CapitalOne Classic at £100 raised to £200. 11 months on now, I've just closed it and hoping to get a higher limit.

Give them a ring and let us know the outcome..... They can usually tell you straight away!

You know you have a CIFAS when you get the following :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    tesco1.jpg

So, the link they refer to is here: https://www.cao.tescofinance.com/cao/external/tpf/displayHelp.do?HelpItemId=HI_AY100-0001

    And to quote:

I get that message when I apply for the tesco CC. I then a few days later get a letter saying that because they limit the number of cards a customer can have I'm not allowed another one. Would be well and good if I had one in the first place

    No CIFAS's on my file
