    Did you apply today?

Lol yea just! I thought, what with Egg, BoC accepting me (although egg later retracted lol) i'd try my luck! Ermmm, big mistake! I'll probs have 100 cifas again knowing me, time to SAR them I reckon....

I'll do that & post back what they send me - should be a laugh no matter what lol

How do you collect so many CIFASes niddy? I remember reading that you were subject to ID theft a while ago but I don't see that having happened twice in such a short time frame.

Inaccurate on the old application forms, eh? ;)

LOL, no its cos there was still an incorrect entry when I applied to lloyds last february and as such they cifas'd me. I applied to halifax (to annoy them) 100 times one week until they blocked my IP and they also cifas'd me (both fair enough I guess).

They were still there until March 2010 but since then others have added one as a result of my not just waiting a month before applying lol. Basically the old one (due to drop off next month) from Lloyds shows the incorrect linked address. Lloyds wont remove it and I thought i'd let them be slanderous and bite them when they least expect it. If it causes me hassle (which now it is doing) i'll have em for libel. Basically its kind of deliberate cos now that others have rejected me because of their incorrect cifas marker I have them for libel.

Ive already spoken to my solicitor and court papers will be served within the next week, before the cifas has a chance to drop off. I'll be suing for statutory £5k + costs... i'll post a copy of my cheque when they pay out... :rotfl:

I noticed on the Bank of Cyprus application you have to provide either a passport number or ID card number. What if you have no passport? Is there a way round that?

RE: N-I-D LOL 100 times in a week? You have too much spare time... still not long ti wait until they drop off... but from the looks of things you'll have too many recent searches for anyone to take you seriously when that happens anyway; hmm.

be interesting to see what Lloyds TSB come back with. I presume you've issued them with pre-litigation advice once or twice giving them fair chance to remove the marker and resolve the problem?

RE: benoit - I just entered my provisional driving license number and it seemed OK!

100% behaviour score pass mate - I had it opened after 3 months of my PLus account and cos my behaviour score was 70 at the time, it was instantly approved but they did do a footprint, not a search though. They used CallCredit for this as well, therefore no probs as it was empty lol :D

You know you have a CIFAS when you get the following :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    tesco1.jpg

So, the link they refer to is here: https://www.cao.tescofinance.com/cao/external/tpf/displayHelp.do?HelpItemId=HI_AY100-0001

    And to quote:

I get exactly the same. It's nothing to do with data from National Hunter or Experian. It's to do with the details you have given on a past application or the details you gave on that application.

On a different note, I canceled my CapitalOne Classic and received a letter today stating ''your account is closed''. I was told to wait until I get a letter before reapplying. I got the letter and just applied for the CapitalOne Progress. I got the 'Thankyou, please sign the declaration below.'' Then ''we'll finish our final checks and will give you a decision in a few days''.

Not 6 months or anything? Natwest say I've gotta wait 8 months if I want to try it with them  Might give it a go with Cap1 in the summer then... I'm on the lowest card with (soon to be) £200 limit, if I closed it and then went for exactly the same thing would that work? As I should have more chance of being re-accepted for the same card, but for a higher limit? Or have I got to chance an "upgrade" to the next card up?

That's what I've just done. Had a CapitalOne Classic at £100 raised to £200. 11 months on now, I've just closed it and hoping to get a higher limit.
