I've heard Tesco can be hit and miss when applying for their credit card. Is there a dedicated thread specifically about tesco clubcard CC anyone?0

Same parent company, different cataogues and products available.
There are also others ran by the JD Williams group, such as Fashion World, Home Essentias, to name but a few!0 -

Not sure why I was declined, probably because I was a student and everyone seems to hate students.... or I probably had a fair few searches back then, so I'll try them again in the summer0 -

For example you buy a laptop for £399, and you pay it with Tesco Clubcard CC, it will not charge interest on the CC account for 6 months.... basically a loan deal of 6 months 0% APR. It is interest free and earn extra clubcard points!
Explain a little more about this scheme please:o0 -
I can't understand, even if they do use a different CRA for the main application, how it can be such a different result. And I don't get how my credit history has improved (more 0's and i haven't maxed my cards out last 2 months) yet I now get turned down!
Zack just because you have green (0) it does not automatically mean you are intitled to credit.
Infact any new accounts will lower your score if anything.0 -
Ok I was hoping someone may be able to help me with this....
I am asking for my mate. Basicaly he has a settle default to HSBC on his file, it was settled in 2006, and the amount was for roughly 1k. Anyway he currently has an account with Nationwide, but they wont upgrade him to a debit card, yet he really needs one for online purchases etc. Can anyone suggest a bank that may be able to help?0 -
