    Jesus dude that's harsh...

CIFAS perhaps? Accepted based on the contents of your credit file but later rejected due to CIFAS information... Perhaps?

Still whatever the reason, b4st4rds for dangling the carrot like that...

I agree with your bold statement above to be fair mate....

Yea I know, its deffo dangling the carrot - thing is they should see from my credit file that I have 4 cards all with £0 outstanding and take the risk from that! Muppets, their loss. :p

Thanks NID, didn't have an account with them, but made an application just about 3 and a bit years ago but at the time didn't have very much credit history so it was thanks but no thanks, lol! x

    You'll be fine - usually wait just 6 months between app's - not 3.5 years LOL :p

Who is it you're thinking of?

Bank of Cyprus charges change in April, luckily - seems they charge per transaction when your account is overdrawn (unsure whether this is unauthorised or authorised though)...

Old Terms: Tariff of bank charges for personal customers 25 Jan 2010

New Terms: Tariff of bank charges for personal customers 1 April 2010

also, seems they restrict the amount of transactions daily to 6! You can change it - but thought it pertinent to point this out:
The Bank of Cyprus UK debit card is a secure Chip & PIN card so when making a purchase you will be
asked to key in your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Please note that to safeguard against fraud
we have a maximum limit for any single transaction. This limit is set high enough to cover most
purchases our customers make, but if you are expecting to make a large purchase using your debit
card please contact us during working hours and tell us when and how much for. We will then be able
to increase the limit for a limited period, as long as there are sufficient funds in your account.
In addition, for fraud prevention purposes we limit you to a total of 6 point of sale and online
transactions in any 24 hour period
. This limit may be higher if we notify you otherwise.

Mate did you ever get the Ulster loan sorted?
No, after 10 weeks of sending in paper work it got declined! Cant try anywhere else until searches drop off.
They did not even give me a reason, a peice of advice.....do not use the idiots for a loan!

Bloody hell mate, that's shocking - I thought Egg dangled the carrot at me but keeping you waiting for 10wks is a joke..... I thought you'd been accepted when they sent the agreement, otherwise why not decline you before sending that? Nightmare - well that's RBS for you... wonder if it was AVU that done the dastardly deed?

Yes it was, the agreed they loan in principle with an 11.5% APR, that would really have helped my cash flow. Now I will have to just take it on the chin as the 30% APR finance interest free ends on my agreements next month.

I can't see a transcation fee for the online current account with BOC - only a fee for setting up an overdraft.

Its on the old terms mate - not the new ones - see my links above ^^^^^

    Edit:

See below mate - notice debit card charge (if overdrawn) = 45p etc.... but on new terms this is not present!

I'll need to ring and have a proper chat with them before I start to use this account - one good thing, it is a full debit card and not a full auth one.
