No but I got accepted for a full mobile contract yesterday...

Seems it paid off having the Three Sim Zero for the last few months as they approved me for a contract with a handset yesterday without another credit search; tis a separate contract though not an upgrade on the Zero line.

Not bad I think, Nokia E71, 300 Mins, Unlimited texts, Unlimited internet (1GB FUP), £18 PCM / 18 Months. Going to put the E71 straight on eBay after unlocking it and carry on using my HTC Touch Diamond 2. Just needed to raise some capital through a new handset to pay off the contract my ex took out for me last year.

So, seems I am still sticking to my "No Applications" sabbatical on the basis no footprint was left? Can I get away with that you reckon or should I still get a rollocking?

I'm going to fail my driving test tomorrow.

Hehe thanks... The APR isn't great, already got it reduced once from 27.9 to 24.9, only had the card since November, it's no biggie though owe under a grand overall, and it's only temporary until I find a house mate for the spare room :)

I closed the account after Barclays Bank p!$$3d me off, so I don't think they'll cut the interest again... it's fine though, as soon as I fill the spare room the card will be cleared in next to no time.

ElkyElky You'll be fine, good luck with your driving test. (As irony has it I'm watching the episode of South Park at the moment featuring the old people killing everyone and having their driving licences revoked...

Lemma1968 Well done on the Progress, could get increased to £600 ~ £1100 depending how much you spend and repay. If you get it up to 85% of it's limit each month and repay in full they'll really want to raise it enough so that you can't afford the whole balance each month... ergo more likely to earn interest :o
Ah that's good then, massive interest though!

I still haven't got my bursary, thanks a lot SFE!!!

    I thought Cap1 was fixed, so say £100 -> £200, £200 -> £500 etc? I get my increase on 23rd when they give me a new statement :D Only £100 more though:(

I'm a fully qualified driver as of today. :D

I only made 4 mistakes during my test and during it, I was almost certain I was going to fail.

Whats your credit file like any adverse information?

I have a Argos card and they tend to only accept people with no adverse information because the card does come with interest free credit for up to 6 months depending on how much that you spend.

I waited until my credit file was in good order with no adverse information before I applied and was accepted right away.

    Hope this helps

    Well done! :)

I had 3 in my 2nd test, all of them potentially could've been failed, and they were all within walking distance of the test centre on the way back (one of them was in the centre!). I was shocked, when he was like "I'm just doing some calculations" or something I was thinking oh !!!!!! I don't care, I've failed, get on with it! Then he explained each one and said that it could've been a major but I reacted properly etc I was like yay!

Are you getting a car now? I can't wait til I'm 21, my quotes for £2,100 insurance go down to £595 even though I say I'm 21 with no driving experience....madness!

Thanks! I'm going car window-shopping at the weekend but I'm not sure yet if I should buy one or wait a little.

I thought I was going to fail, considering yesterday was the first time using my instructors new car - I stalled a couple of times but the examiner was understanding as I made it clear to him before starting the test I'd stall purely because of the new car. Surprisingly, he didn't mark it as a minor and he just pretended it never happened.

    Yes that does help. :)

I've been waiting for you to post. I knew you had one. Yea, I think it was a decline, They wouldn't tell me over the phone, but I can read between the lines.

Sorry Sutton to hear about Argos decline. It sounds very much a decline letter is on its way to you unless it is a letter asking for more info, so there is hope! Have you considered apply for Tesco Clubcard CC? Worth a try if you ask me!
