I'm not a fan of overdrafts, hate them in fact. They benefit no one but the fat b@stards sitting in their throne in some massive building in London.

I was hoping to get a car on finance this month but I have no chance with my 6 searches in the last 3 months. I have a decent deposit saved up but I guess I'll just have to use that and buy second hand.

6 searches in 3 months........ You better go easy on the button.

    What car are you after?

Yeah, I'm staying away from the apply button and have done for a few weeks.

I don't know. I'll probably just buy the first suitable car I see. My ideal car is a tad out of my price range (£170,000) so I'll just settle for something small.

I decided to apply for a credit card with Aqua today. Got this message:

"Thank you for your recent application for an aqua credit card. We are delighted to tell you that it has been approved and that you have been granted an estimated credit limit of £250.

Within the next 10 working days you will receive a letter from us confirming this. All you need to do is read, sign and return the signature form to us.

Upon receipt of your signed credit agreement form, your new PIN number will be despatched. You will then receive your new card within 10 working days.

Thank you again for your application, we look forward to welcoming you as a new and valued customer. "

Have I actually been accepted, or is it one of those that say you have been accepted then actually decline you?

I'm actually shaking because I didn't ever think I'd get accepted for a CC, not had one since I was 18, 6 years ago!
This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.

Well done! Aqua is harder to get than Capital One Classic.

Bizzaire how Halifax do their scoring... they recently rejected my OH for an Aqua card but accepted him for a Reward current account...
    Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
