I was thinking too many searches. I have 7 on my Experian file, 5 within 3 months.

A limit of £2250 would have been nice! Darnit.

There's your reason mate - can almost bet 100% that is why they declined you....... :D

You need to remember that the norm is 6 in 6 months or 10 per annum! Not 10 searches one week and none for the other 31 weeks! ;)

I'll wait until some drop off before reapplying. Would I have to wait 6 months to reapply?

That is probably why I was declined for an Orange contract too, but strangely Vodafone accepted me.

My Experian free trial started today, I grudge paying them 7 quid a month to view my own data but being able to view it instantly will help me keep track of the searches.

Yes mate wait 6 months, but so long as you do not apply for anything between now and then you will probably get accepted instantly (and for other mainstreams).... just avoid pressing submit - or you'll be in the same trap as most (including me this time last year!)....

I have only got 40 odd searches left by the end of Feb - have 135 from now til then  So I just don't apply for anything cos I know it will be declined.....

Voda score easier than Orange especially if you have a CC and/or pay your deposit/delivery etc using one..... As for Experian, if you stop applying you have no need to check it monthly, save yourself £42 by not applying for 6 months then get your file and then make a few app's... see, money saving advice from niddy boy - lol :D:D:D

Crappy 1 has interest free purchases until May. :p And I don't even have to purchase within 30 days of account opening, they said I can purchase things any time right up until May and it'll still be interest free.

My interest free period will be ending soon on Silver.

Yea but £100? Sygma give better raises (30%) so in 2 years your limit will be £1,000 - (then 1300, 1650, 2250 etc etc) not likely to achieve that with crappy 1 mate!
