When I called to activate the card, they said they'll give me an increase in 3 months if I keep to the agreement and I could be eligible for up to £2500, so I was thinking of waiting until then?

I personally think £100 is an insult, considering I got £200 when I applied for the classic card with no credit history.

Have you still got the classic card?

Regards to the limit in 3 months - wait and see what happens before closing, you have 6 months til you can apply at Asda again anyway! That way you can close one or the other in March whatever and when the entry is correct on your credit file (closed account) you could reapply to Asda then.....

No I closed the classic card some time ago. The requirements for the Plus card states you need to have a "very good credit history" so the fact that they accepted me is looking positive.

Mate I don't mean to sound harsh but don't be fooled by their speil.... This is Crappy1 we're talking about and if your credit history was that good - dya not think you'd be smiling with a £10k limit - not a £100 limit?

As I say, i'm not having a go but you're acting very blinkered here toward one of the most hated and dire credit card suppliers in the history of the UK! Crappy1 is not worth writing home about and it is certainly not the card you seem to think it is :D

You will be lucky to go from £100 to £500 after 6 months (let alone 3) and even if so, that will be your lot! Sygma are a better provider (in your circumstances) and will increase your limits higher and more frequently than Crappy1 will.

Just a side point, how did the person in activation know they 'may' increase the limit to £2500 - nobody would know that until the time came...... ;)

I don't expect big limits, especially with my income.

As I said in my previous posts, they are tight fisted sods, even when I had my classic card. I expect nothing different from them. :p
