Where does it say that, on the offers for you page? Mine has never updated even though I've got 3k in there now and have been moving money to and from it for a few weeks now  I want a guaranteed credit card!!

You go into the apply/change overdraft section;)

It looks like Halifax refresh their "lending limits" over the 2nd weekend of the month.

Barclays refresh their limits over the first weekend of the month and are viewable online on the monday

Lloyds refresh offers on the 22nd of the month for my current account.

Oh I won't have that, I've only got a Easycash account (pending Reward application). So 2nd weekend of the month is when I should check the "offers for you" bit? Is the Easycash even "good" enough to get me any offers, even if I stick loads in it? (i've heard about people getting offered loans/cards etc). I guess my best chance of getting anything pre-approved would be if they accept my application for Reward Current Account and I use it lots...

Can you pay Natwest Credit Cards from a Halifax account? I've got 3k in Halifax so was thinking of paying Natwest card from that so I'm using it, rather than transferring the money back to Natwest and doing a payment that way?

I think everyone in the world knows you've got £3k in your account since you keep mentioning it on every post. :rotfl:

I believe Cash Flow isn't referring to "offers for you" page. He is referring to the guaranteed overdraft limit displayed under the overdraft section, which tells you the maximum amount of overdraft you can apply to your account instantly. Anything over and they'll have to approve [or decline] it.

Yes, you can pay a NatWest credit card. However you'll need the account number and sort code for NatWest, which should be on your credit card statement. You would use the bill payments option on Halifax's online banking and enter NatWest's account number, sort code and your credit card number as the reference.

It does not matter how much money you'll put into your Easycash account, you'll receive no offers. You must have a full current account to benefit from any such offers.

Correct, Easycash accounts are basic bank accounts, they do not credit check you and do not report to CRA's ;)

Thanks, like A&L then only they don't tell you how much you're approved for!

I'll pay my credit card from Halifax this month then! Hopefully they give me the current account so that I can have a shot at offers for you section :p

Actually don't hold your breath. The offers for you section has been down for some time, I don't know if it's just me but a few others have mentioned it.

It displays a message saying it's under maintenance and has been for a while. When it was working, there was only some advertisements for insurance and travel money.

It may display pre-approved offers, I have no idea.

You most certainly do not want to be using an overdraft from Halifax if your application is approved. Bloody ridiculous paying £1 a day.

I thought it was £1 a day for unauthorised? Wow, my Barclays account I am overdrawn for about a 1/3 of the month, wouldnt fancy paying £13 a month for that!

Yes but don't forget Halifax pay you £5.00 a month if you credit £1000 so it would only be £8.00 if you offset.

I am not sure what the APR equates too but I can think of other other lenders that would charge you more to service upto £2499 of debt.

    I believe it's less than 18%apr ?????

My offers for you says that none are available "at this time" rather than under maintenance, but maybe that's because of my account. I did hear that was how you got pre-approved stuff though, or by phoning, obviously online is easier

Ouch! My mate gets charged £5 a day from A&L for an unauthorised one! She didn't know how to get an overdraft (and at the branch they were clueless, even though it's the same account as I have so I said yea she can get an overdraft but they didn't know) so went into her online banking and got her one now it's just 50p a day luckily! I'm surprised they authorised that to be honest, given her history they were making £15 a week at least out of her so I thought they'd take their time or decline it

With the Halifax you get charged £1 a day for an AUTHORISED overdraft up to £2500 then £2  a day from £2500 to £5000 !!!!!:eek::eek:

God only knows what the fees are for an unauthorised one. I stay within my limit.
