Well, I did hardly anything today. The SAD took a downward slide this afternoon and I really didn't want to go out this evening, but I knew that dh would be disappointed if we didn't go. I'm feeeling terribly fragile and not enjoying leaving the house at all. Social isolation is what I crave most of all this time of year. Iwas anxious about this trip out (dunno why) and I have to drive in again tomorrow night for the concert. This is tough as I just have to get on with it as best I can. I'm not ill in the conventional sense and I have a lot less to deal with than most people here.
Dropped DS at his orchestra rehearsal in Liverpool then braved the one way system in the city centre. We don't really know Liverpool at all. Eventually found somewhere to park, went to the top of Liverpool One. Found that John Lewis restaurant was shut. Then found there was a Lakeland, dh bought me a mince pie tray of dangerous weight. Well the range was on 3 for 2, so got 2 mince pie trays and a swiss roll tin.
Went to ASK to eat, where it was rather noisy but food was quite nice. Went to find the Philharmonic Hall so we know where to go for the concert tomorrow and then picked up ds.
Anxious too as four of us have been called for a meeting with the vice principal on Tuesday afternoon after our departmental meeting. Don't know what it's about but it won't be good news I don't suppose. Otherwise line manager would have told us about it. THink they are gradually getting rid of the casual staff. One gone last year, two more got fed up (one left the department to do other stuff and one left the college completely). Two have been made full time staff and there are three agency people in who have been given hours. We weren't ever asked if we wanted to do any more hours, these people just appeared.
In some respects I will be angry if we gt completely pushed out, my hours have been taken down and down. Full timers get their timetables filled first of course. There didn't used to be any full timers so it wasn't an issue.
On the other hand, my dh is working his socks of at the moment and will be getting some expenses and staying with Mum and dad, so will make a bit there. I would get rid of a major stressor in my life, only 6 hours, but gives a lot of grief from time to time.
Dh gone to bed, so must go too. Nighty night."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
