    Happy Birthday Hester :bdaycake::bdaycake:

DH and oldest DD have gone on a 140 mile trip to sort out relative's bungalow. He didn't get much done the last few weeks as he was either visiting me in hospital or being here for me once I got home.

Have had a quiet morning and sticking to healthy low fat food like crazy. Just had mackerel with cucumber for a late lunch.

Made DD(15) bacon sarnies but not remotely tempted by them.

Just spent about three hours downstairs watching a dvd of "Criminal Minds" with DD and really enjoyed it. Back upstairs now to put my feet up and have a rest.

    Smoky

We are the same size but I have size 8 feet. If it were not for the shade I'd be like Coco the clown!!!!!!

    Hugs to everybody

    Hi everyone.

I'm very late on today as it's been a busy one. Went to see MIL this morning, then ferried DS2 to the train station so he could go to meet his friends (also to see the 2nd Twilight film), came back & got the gammon in soak for tomorrow, my Mum came down, took DD to work & waved off DS1 to his friends for a party :rotfl::rotfl: Oh and DH has gone to steward a football match!

OS has been going on though although my Mum has taken the 3 loads of washing home to tumble dry for me :o:T I didn't get any lunch during it all so I'm going to have some leftover Spicy Lentil soup and naan breads with DH. DS3 has chosen to have pasta with grated cheese so he's nice & easy. Mum made a big fruit salad while she was here using lots of fruit from the bowls (which needed eating ;)) and some tinned in fruit juice so we can snack on that later while we watch X Factor.

Thank you for all your kind wishes yesterday it puts everything in perspective when I read about Penny Pinchers relative though. Big, big comforting.gif to you PenPin xxx

Diva Thank you for your lovely PM it was very much appreciated angel.gif

    Hi all,
Just done my 2nd week £40 shopping at Morries to get the £25 off. All the stuff I bought was needed (including 1ltr Gordons & 1ltr Smirnoff) well Xmas is coming. mmmm a little to soon for me.
I've lit the ingle-nook as it's a bit chilly here, a good excuse to start wrapping some prezzies in front of it before DGD arrives at 3pm and is staying overnight.
Having smoked cod'n'chips for dinner, cod is reduced by £2 a kilo off in Morries.

    ((((((((( to all poorlies )))))))))))
ANNIEMF sorry to hear of your DD's dissapointment.
    HESTER, Happy Birthday. _party__party_
One of the things I miss most from home (with the exception of family obviously;)) is Morrisons - I love their salad bar!! I always get one when I go to Mum's

If you know which apartment it "belongs" to, maybe knock on & have a quiet word, mention that you are going to be away for 3 weeks and would they keep an eye on your car in your space where their van is? Then it sounds like you are asking them a favour rather than getting grumpy!

Unfortunately I don't know which flat it belongs too. There are 4 blocks using the car park, which is around 50 flats! So it's hard to find out. I don't think they are in my building, and I can't access other buildings. The van is back again tonight but as my car is in my space it's parked in someone else's.

I had a lovely day in Bristol. I bought a top and bag from New Look, and used the 20% off voucher. I also bought a dress from Debenhams in their sale event which I may wear to a wedding in Feb - I have 5 dresses to try on now tomorrow! :o But they will go back if they don't fit.

I'm not going to the party tonight, I'm too tired and just want to watch Strictly/X Factor and not much else.

    Enjoy your evening all.

I think it was Thriftlady who linked to Attic24 but I'm an avid reader there too. ;)

I have to say it's been an odd day here. OH is in both my good books and my bad books.
He excelled himself by making a wonderful meal which was a kind of puff pastry tart of tomato, pesto, bacon and goats' cheese. He has declared it his signature dish. :D
Unfortunately I sent him out for coal earlier and he returned having been given a 7 month old cat by an old Gypsy woman.:rolleyes:

She's very sweet though (the cat, not the woman, though she was lovely too)and as predicted the chicken phobic dog is terrified of the cat too. :rotfl:

Is it any wonder I drink?

Forgot to say well done to Taplady earlier.:T:j

Haribo....congratulations on your acquisition.....the dog will get used to him/her and they may end up the best of friends like Kerry and Thunder, who wrestle and bite each other in play....Sile hates Kerry.
