Update
The van has finally moved :jas soon as I noticed it had gone (my bedrrom overlooks car park, I wasn't actively stalking it) I moved my car into the space. My friend is now driving to get me to go to Bristol instead of me meeting her at hers, so I can leave it there all day today, tomorrow, and if the rain holds of next week I can leave it there almost all week as I can walk to work! Childish
but it should get the point across!

Morning everyone :hello:
Happy Birthday Hester. Please spoil yourself today. xxx
Sorry to hear your OH is down Janiebaby.
Take care of yourself Mummysaver.
Redruby. Please don't steal that child.
It's actually dry here and the chickens look relieved not to be splashing around in puddles in the garden. I hope it stays dry as we have our Town's Christmas lights parade tonight with the Reindeer herd and it's much nicer if we're not all soaked.
OH is cooking some concoction he saw on TV so I am making some soup as a standby. I've just had a choc brownie for breakfast and lunch will be cheese on toast.
OS wise I want to do some tidying in the garden (not that the chickens have left me much in the way of plants) and I have some more alium bulbs to plant.
Will take the pup to the beach as well and pack a flash of hot chocolate for the girls.
Have good days everyone xxx0 -
Good morning folks. It's a right gloomy day here, so lamp is on. Mum and Dad here, Mum struggling with a bad back, so keeping her on the move. At least we have the 'electric chair' which she is finding handy.
DH and DS out at Youth Orchestra. Dad wants to go to Staples, so I shall go too and see if I can get some stationery for stocking fillers for the kids. DS has rehearsal 6-9 in Liverpool tonight so dh wants to go over and shop/meal out or whatever. Dad wants to watch the footie, so don't know what will happen. Will discuss when they get in. I need to know what to get out of the Freezer.
OS here, marmalade gunk is out of the freezer so mum will boil that up shortly.
MSD, yes the plum gingerbread was nice, but a bit heavy. I think it was because the fruit was out of the freezer and therefore a bit on the soggy side. Opinion in the household divided. Dad, Mum and I thinking good and yummy and ds and ds a bit ambivalent. Plums had to be used up though in my war with the freezer.
I'm trying really hard to not think 'what shall I make?' and turn things round to 'what have I got and what can I do with it?'
Do you get bored with the recipes you do all the time? I'm trying to do some new things.
I'm planning to do some baking today and tomorrow. Apart from that do need to do some laundry, though might let it wait for a nice day. Shirts won't wait though!
Have a good weekend everyone. Off to get my coffee and then have a browse here."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning Guys!
Hope all is well with everyone!
HH-Happy Birthday
Cranky-Glad you posted.
Mum called to say that family member was taken into a hospice yesterday and I am just awaiting a call. 3 boys are being left and it's so sad. I just keep bursting into tears. It's sad she wont be here for her birthday or Xmas, but we have made sure she got everything done on her list. It is just one thing after another atm. At times like this, I wish I had more faith!
Anyway, I need to change the subject.
Cooking for neighbours today and have put in a large lamb stew in the SC with lamb (obviously), parsnips, carrots, organic new pots (reduced to 10p), onions, baked beans, mixed herbs, sachet mix (22p Lidl)...will add peas about an hour from end with herby dumplings.
House is clean and tidy. DW and WM have both been on. Poaced eggs for breakfast in new pod things bought from Lakeland.
Friend is popping in later as she has made me a cake:D
Just resting up today as I feel emotionally and physically tired.
Hugs to all.

Morning all,
Although I'm onto wine oclock atm.Another hot day and I really didnt' do much at all except the basics. You'll have to excuse my laziness but nearly 40 degree heat it's hard to summon up any energy.
I was going to shop but DH talked me into going tomorrow and he's coming along to help. I expect my shopping bill will be twice what it is usually.
Hester Happy Birthday & I"m sure DH enjoyed it as much as you.
Haribo Hope the girls enjoy their flash of hot chocolateand also that you manage to keep DH's food down.
Mummysaver Sorry to hear that it's all over. <hugs>
rnshon Congratulations. I know babies make such a lot of work so feel free just to post when you can. We all do.
Well hope you all have a great weekend. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning,
I've been at work for three days this week so I've been far too shattered to pick up the laptop!
Today it's gloomy and looks like rain so I shall hurry and get the outdoor jobs done and then huddle in front of the fire today. I've got to go to the market and then to the local farm shop but that's it for me. Oh and tonight we're going to a birthday party which will be nice but there's NO FOOD! No Food? At a birthday party? I only found this out yesterday and must admit I'm dissappointed - I was looking forward to a free meal :rotfl:
This week had been nice and moneysaving as I've been Christmas shopping inline but everything I ordered attracted points from Nectar or Quidco. I got a brilliant deal on Hairy Maclary books (Book People) where a set of six was cheaper than buying the two that my niece wanted and they come in a nice bag. I've also bought the new Delia Christmas book for £5 and although I'm dying to look through it my Mum has bought it for me for Christmas so I had to promise not to look at it but to wrap it up straight away.
So why did I say 'HAD' been Moneysaving? Because MrS has a poorly car and it was towed to the garage on Friday. It's got to go to a special computer place on Monday and will cost plenty to be fixed I'm sure.
Haribo - Yesterday I wore your hat to work and was asked where I'd got it - it was a real hit - maybe you should think about doing some more and listing on eBay?
I signed up for an Abel & Cole veg box last week after a post on this thread. They've an offer at the moment where you order four, weekly, veg boxes costing £15 or more and they give you a £50 credit with the fourth delivery. I also put down my friend as having recommending me to them and they are sending her a £10 credit and me an Abel & Cole cook book. Not sure how they are making any profit here but it's a very good MS deal if anyone is interested. You can cancel after your fourth delivery so potentially, and assuming you'll use the veggies, it's a good deal. The first delivery came on Thursday and is really good quality.0 -

Now I read yesterdays thread and do I assume some posts are now missingNot had a PM either <stamps foot> I demand that I get one :rotfl: Also I think snidey remarks about who has or hasn't started the thread are uncalled for.
