Welcome Magnolia!!:hello:
I've also just bought a house in Northamptonshire! Hoping to exchange in a couple of weeks so I'll be in your neck of the woods! PM anytime you feel blue or fancy a coffee and chat.
Cantcope - fab news about the flat, it was obviously meant to be. Let us know what it is like!
KP - SO jealous about the bag........I LOVE handbags! I could live without shoes forever but not bags. My wedding pressie from OH was a gorgeous Mlberry bag  Very suprised when that was presented! And GOOD LUCK with the run - I'll be thinking of you
Hello to everyone else - I'm still sending wonderful thoughts your way every day.
Love you all

Ok. just got back from next door. It's not as bad as she makes out. It does seem a little dinghy but thats because mine had just been totally refurbed when i moved in. Theres a few things i'd want to change (the bedroom walls are bright yellow, and theres big patches if paintwork missing in the spare room) but other than that it is fine. And if i get some sleep well its definitely worth it.
Going to go to the letting agent tomorrow and tell them i am definitely interested. Then just need to beg and borrow the holding deposit. £300!!!
Mum has already said she will lend me it as she knows the lack of sleep is making me ill.
Woohoo, i'm getting excited. Hope it doesnt fall flat on its face. My luck it will.
Re: handbags. was drooling over some lovely radley bags in the house of fraser sale today. Would go so well with my purse. Just cant afford theprice tag even in the sale.Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
Thanks Lily, that is really sweet.
And Cantcope, will have my fingers crossed for you. Good luck, and sending positive house vibes your way!0 -
Welcome Magnolia
Its great to have you here, we don't mind you jumping in at all - the more the merrier!
We all share our triumphs and troubles so feel free to talk about yourself, it must be really hard being such a long way from home. Your house sounds like a lovely project that will keep you busy, mind you with a 9 month old you probably don't get a lot of time!
Money saving is a great way of life its what I was brought up to do, if my Dad were still around he would love this site.

Good luck with your race honey xx
Thanks
CancCope - sorry about your lack of sleep, hope the new flat works out better. A quick move would be brilliant if you can do it, push to get in ASAP and get some sleep! The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -

Thanks for the advice. The girl next door is my age and we are now friends. She knows why i am moving so has been honest about the noise level. I've even slept there now and again on her sofa when i can't sleep here so know its going to be a lot quieter. All i need to hope is that whoever moves in here is nice and quiet!
Quite excited this morning. Really hope that the few things i'd like to change/decorate won't be a problem. Folks have said they will lend me the bond and holding deposit and can pay most of that back when i get my bond back on this place.
Will let you all know if i get it tonight
Have a good day everyone, looks like its gonna be a hot one again.Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
We are living in a new area so I don't know anybody here, although I have met a few nice people so I am sure that in time it will get easier.
Feeling very home-sick and missing my family and friends terribly, and as my husband works so much it is usually just my daughter and I here entertaining each other!
My interests are my baby, the outdoors- love going out walking and the beach (but that is a bit far away as we are in Northamptonshire!) live music, photography, cooking and entertaining, reading and movies when I get the time, and dining out and going out for coffee.
Hi Magnolia its great to see you on here. I have the same interests as you apart from the baby thing - I find 31 children everyday is enough and as awful as it is to say it I like saying byebye at half past 3!! I am sure I will feel differently one day.
I'm sure it is really hard in the new area we have lived in a house for over 4 years and it is so hard to meet the people around us, most tend to keep to themselves. We are a great bunch on here everyone is so lovely. Please chat to us.
Take care all

hope you all have a good day xx0 -
Wooohoooo jsut sneaked on at work. Am off to the agent in an hour. They have just called me to say painting the rooms is fine by them and that they will drop the rent by another 25 a month so i save £60 a month AND get some sleep.
