Hi there all. Am totally zonked and have been trying to decide wheter to buy alone or with OH. Am not avoiding the thread just trying to catch up on work and stuff.
Wannubs I will party with you. Southampton is not far from me and I am well known for driving miles anyway. My 30th was just a week after being dumped so I just went out with a few friends and had a wild time. Felt awful the next day and thats when I started my new life. Anyway. I am up for a celebration, perhaps we could meet in London? Loads of Essex people can get there too? Don't mind you say. Worcestershire is down the road. So no more being so lonely you have to fight off my frindship. And I am a teacher!! and have a funny marriage that is 4yrs old!!
If I am getting everyone mixed up I apologise I have no brain left.
Time to do the horse.
Love to all,
Sun shining but you can keep it until the reports are done.

What a fabulous expression“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Careful girl - Im also known for driving miles! And another teacher with another dodgy marriage. Mind you all the reports are done this year and the only parents evening I have is for my little un at nursery.
Oh and I teach secondary and LOADS of year 11 so I'm not teaching more than 2 lessons a day right now. Ho hum loads of planning though as we think the dreaded Ofstead will pounce next term...The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -

That hubby is out of the picture. She kept saying that DS is obviously upset and worried about something and I didn't want to tell her as I didn't want her worrying and don't want to admit its terminal. Told her this afternoon and ?she said "Are you OK?" I said yes fine, then "how are you managing...with the ironing!" boy does she know me well, she then said "or are you just buying new clothes to save ironing the old ones" YES I'm that undomesticated! I have actually had converstions with the office ladies at school about my lack of ironing skills and how that and the housework was what I missed most about hubby! And Mum bless her didn't pry into reasons at all.
Seriously do any of you know can you get a cleaner who will also do your washing and ironing? Not very MS I know but hubby used to do all that and cost me a fortune in beer money, food and electricity (funny I run the dishwasher once a week now not once a day and the oven goes on rarely too as its salad season!). I reckon I could budget about £40 to have someone in, would I get them twice a week for that? I could do it myself but us teachers do work long hours then when I get home I want to spend time with DS not the Dyson (LOL). By the time he gets into bed I get my dinner and then collapse for an hour before bed myself. The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
Both posted at the same time.:D
Know what you mean about ironing HATE it with a passion, try and get away with running stuff through the tumbler and putting it on warmthere might be some single mums at the nursery that would appreciate a little bit extra cash check the notice boards in tescos/asda.
I used suffer from ocd when it came to housework place had to be clean and tidy, now do it when I feel like it. Dont live in a pig tip but its not sparkling.
Know what you mean about telling the parents was a couple of months before I told mine.

I think I'll put a notice up in the local shop. Nursery is a private one, in a posher area than I live in! I choose to live cheap and have money to spend on other stuff (plus its actually v nice where I live)
If my Dad was still alive I wouldn't have been able to tell him. Mind you he never did like hubby...
OCD has never been a problem for me but I've seen others struggle with it and twitch to clean when they percieve dirt.
As for using the tumble drywer to prevent ironing, I just forget to take it out and it ends up double creased. Plus then I've spent the money on running the dryer as well. Really believe in trying to save pennies to spend on luxuries (handbags, Starbucks etc)The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -

No news on the car yet but did go in the dealers today, car I like is in Dover so they are bringing it to the local branch for me to drive tommorow.
Excuse the pants spelling:o

oooh yes I was forgetting my Birkenstock collection which changes into my Timberland collection in winter (all comfortable sensible shoes!). Oh and that pair of purple sparkly DM's I wanna buy for the SKA weekend.
If the car goes belly up I've been trying to shift a Mondeo for a month. Flippin thing isn't generating any interest at all and means I have a big chunk of my savings sat on the drive next to the shiny new one. Mind you hardly the same as the MG wasn't it?The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0
