My geography is pants! but I do regularly travel up to Worcestershire to go visit my sister ~ I can always make a detour and would love to! Urban and I can travel the country and meet you all
Not sure what my o/h will say but who cares
Glorious weather here and set to be for the next week ~ we're off tomorrow and the forecast is for thundery showers, flippin typical  oh well, less people to see me lying on the beach, less chance of them trying to put me back in the water
I will miss you all and this thread which keeps me highly entertained during my bored office hours!
Enjoy the sunshine wherever you are,
Hugs xxx“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

I agree that the gym isn't the best way to meet new friends - most people are so focused on their class or working out.
I joined a Book Group via my local library which meets for 1 hour once a month, we have a coffee and chat about the book we've read (and the library lends you the book so money saving too). It's a really nice way to get to know people in a safe environment.
I really agree with one of the previous posts that it's sometimes hard to admit to being lonely, I'm single and have a busy social life but there are times when I feel like there's no-one around.
Hope this helps.

Good idea gardenmillie, i'd forgotten about that. I looked for one of these in my local library a while back but they didnt have a book group. Will try again (theyve moved buildings) to see if they have nowA Fendi Baguette is not a sandwich.....

Please gloss over this if you are having a good day
Ok first I am going to oppologise because I feel really c@''@ and sorry for myself, and I am crying!
I thought the idea of a pamper day/weekend for my birthday would be fab so I asked my sister and she won't/can't fit me in (she has friends lucky so and so). She has been rubbish during the pants time I am having with OH as well. She has finally got a guy and the world revolves around him ( been there!)
Originally OH and I were gonna try and go on holiday as a last ditch make or break but now he has been invited to a stag do and of course he wants to go.
I realise now why I started the thread and feel totally friendless.
I really shouldn't post this I guess, it is a gorg day and I don't want to bring you all down.
I felt so much braver before and would have gone by myself but it would really be lonely.
So sorry0 -
How about an MSN party wannabe? We could all go in the same conversation to keep you occupied?
I went to butlins for my 20th last year with all my girlfriends. it was a back to school weekend and was fab.
had loads of old bands there for us to boogie to, chesney hawkes, east 17, bananarama, go west.....
It didnt cost us much either which was good.
Feeling a bit low myself today. its really sunny, i'm at work (on my lunch) got nothing to do all weekend as mates are busy, managed to bag a freebie to camber sands next weekend but again mates are all busy so prob wont go now.
Have a nice afternoon everyone. *hugs* to wannabe xxLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
PLEASE don't apologise Wannabe - this is what we are here for!! Firstly..... ((((((((((hug))))))))))) to you from me.
Secondly, your OH doesn't seem torealise the importance of the trip away together. Try and talk to him and explain that you see it as a last attempt o salvage things. If he still wants to go on a stag do rather than save your relationship maybe it's for the best. I'm sorry if this sounds mean and i dn't know that full situation but on the face of it this is how it seems.
In regards to your sister - have you told her how you feel? Would it make a difference? I think you should go and have a pampering day by yourself - a weekend might be too long and if you book treatments that is most of the day taken up anyway! You never know, you might even meet people! Where are you planning on going?
Remember that we are all always here for you - don't ever apologise for feeling blue. The reason you started this thread was to find friends and you've found them - lean on us when you need to, it's why we're here!
