    Hi

Can anybody recommend any good websites/chatrooms for making friends and (possibly) meeting single men (for relationships) which are not just meat markets for horny men looking for sex (which seems to be all I seem to have found from looking so far!!:rotfl: ).

I suppose what I'm looking for is a friendship site with potential for more rather than the expectation of it!

    Thanks xx

    Hi all,
I have read the thread from the start but have a terrible memory so please don't test me on it
like a lot of other people I have built my life around my husband and kids
now my marriage has ended I am left lonely with no friends
I have to move a couple of hundred miles to be near my family and am being introduced to my sisters friends but all bar one is happily married
I have also signed up to net mums and one girl wants to meet up for coffee which will be great
I am very shy but am determined to make an effort to sort my life out
I was as low and depressed as anyone else on the thread but it felt great that I was not alone in my feelings
  • Hang in there Abbiet!
You do not need to be lonely, we are all here. It is so tough when relationships end but if you take it a step at a time you will manage. It is hard to have to develop friends but it is all part of the new beginning.
You are very welcome to ff. Hope things improve.

Hi everyone, i have made a bit of progress...i met up with an old friend from school (well we fell out of something silly at college, and it had been 4 years since id last seen her!) and we got on really well -seems weve both grown up a lot and have a lot in common now (weve been chatting on msn messenger since last year). then i went and spotted someone on myspace, that i realised i hadnt spoken to in 3 years and so said hello...i got a message back saying 'im delighted youve found me!' and im feeling more positive now. thats 2 friends ive hopefully found now.....

    Hi
I haven't had chance to check it out yet, but someone recommended Lycos too as a good place to try.

If you are willing to make contact without prior viewing of a profile ;) then feel free to PM me here Mike!!
