  • Ok Wb and Mf I will draft a letter. I am sure he will agree. Hey just imagine OFSTED and the Hamster together in the classroom:rotfl: . Took OFSTED to church once and got an "outstanding" for the lesson. I am sure they would be highly impressed by the  Hamster...community links, visiting speaker, live music....etc etc. I wouldn't know how to act, loose weight due to OFSTED nerves or swoon at Hammond.:o
I am getting carried away. Perhaps I should write a couple of targets to bring myself back to reality.
    Take care,

Oh you make me laugh - it actually sounds like you are enjoying the though of OFSTED - quick cool that girl down, she is suffering Hamster hormone overdrive (completely understandable though)!
I need some advice. I am thinking I need to get away for a bit this Easter hols. I was going to book up for some pampering in a hotel but they charge the earth because you are one person. So I though maybe a course e.g Wine tasting!!! nothing too strenuous it has been a hard term. Any one got any ideas for me????
    thanks

cg the one thing you do not need to do is lose weight!!

wannubs bit sad that i cannot think of anything for you to do. :o Do they actually drink the wine at the tastings though or just spit it out? What a waste if they spit it!!

have fun all, soon be the easter break :j:j

    Messy.
  • Hi Messy!!
How are you? Haven't heard from you for ages. Hope all is well with you and the boys. Don't worry I will put the weight back on...I will ensure that there are huge amounts of chocolate available as normal!! You have seen that I LOVE my food!!!:rotfl: Am going to another hen night on Friday night at my favourite restaurant...OMG CG is partying again.
Wannubs I have no ideas. I can recommend hotels with good cuisine in France but that is not quite the same. Start a thread perhaps?
All this talk of  OFSTED:eek: who are welcome when i am ready for them ....which will be never... they are not expected until next year. If they appear now I am not sure how I would cope. Currently I have a student making me have time to do all that paperwork which i never have time for. With the situation at home though and still having no livery for the horse I would be in a state worse than last summer!!
Found out this morning that my assistant missed Hammond on CR:rotfl: Calls herself a fan?
    Take care all,

Well I love Top Gear it is so funny. Hamstie is dead cute, but I think it's the Combo of the three that make the programme funny.

I have a funny story about a wine tasting. Lets just say that my Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed it. hic:hic

Thoroughly enjoy CR. Mr Tennent is growing on me. None of my teachers was that cute. Little Britain has gone a bit stale for me, but I loved the live show clips, especially the Dennis Waterman one. Fav has to be Vicar of Dibly - now that's a show I'm going to miss.

We've had snow, but it only really lasted a day. Quite glad though as I have a busy week and couldn't really afford to miss any of my appointments.

  • Hi ZC Hope the chickens are well!!
As for the wine tasting, I was a founder member of the Vintners Society at college. We had some excellent tasting sessions. We did a variety of wines including one balmy summer's evening tasting Champagne. It is optional to drink or spit. I remember my tasting sheets started off so well.."Full bodied, slight oak and vanilla, great finish." By half way through the comments were less specific and by the end of the evening there were just marks on my paper.:rotfl: The wines were outstanding (we had some great links with companies) and it was a great laugh. Learned something too!! Must do more when i have time. We could do a ff tasting session!! We could invite Hammond. Sorry must stop mentioning him.
Might just open a bottle now....

  • what did i hear? Hammond and Alcohol?? count me in!!! Oh sorry, that wasn't what you meant CG, that must have been wishful thinking

What a fab idea wb!!! I was looking through our local college book and was tempted by a yoga class and a turkish cooking course. Thats a great idea to do a residential though. Something I'd love to do but too much of a wimp to do alone!! ff wine tasting session sounds about right CG! I'd love to do a cookery course but think they are more about the cooking than the eating. I like both but find the eating more enjoyable :D

What about some kind of cooking course or some kind of retreat (i.e. pampering and relaxing but not as costly as hotel pampering thing)? Mind you tasting wine in any situation is always good too.....

I'm with you on that one MF. Well I don't know how brave I am but I did start the thread so I thought it's about time I did something as brave as the rest of you guys but I really don't know how to go about it???
There must be a retreat near Hampshire or a residential course but how do you google these things??
    Hope all are well.

  • hmmm not sure. Just did a google search but could only come up with residential care homes lol!!!! I've been to Forest Mere/Henlow Grange (think that is Surrey or Hampshire) but that was pricey (someone elses treat, lovely mummy!). good though!! Let me know if you find one... would be interested in something in that area. Or we do as CG said and do a FF wine tasting course!!!
