Not a bad idea Destiny. Can you imagine how frugal the date would be though? Each trying to out-do the other's MoneySaving habits? Tee Hee

It's awful isn't it Squiggly? Call me old-fashioned - but I want a site where the 2nd question isn't "are you shaved, waxed or natural..." :rotfl:

Morning everyone. Havent posted for a while so thought i'd give you all an update.

I have joined a netball team. I really enjoy it and it makes me feel 18 again. Have made lots of new friends through it too. :D

Looks like mums house will complete on the first may bank holiday so it'll be packing time again. She's going away for the weekend so that me and Dad can just get on with it. (you all know fussing mothers) lol

Still going to GA and its helping me a lot. I dont often have the thought of a bet anymore so i must keep going.

My debt is getting smaller and smaller so i will update my sig tonight when i get home after rosemary conley. I've lost half a stone in 7 weeks :D

Hope everyone is well. Lovely to see new folks dropping by. This thread has been a lifeline to me in my real dark times.

Have a good day everyone x

Lol, I thought maybe it was just me.... dating has obviously moved on in the past few years!!!!!! And I've had it as the first question!!! Or one memorable 2 word message sent to me once - first word was "wanna" and I'll just say the second began with an "f"....!!!! Bizarrely, I turned it down....

I think MSE dating would be funny - perhaps a little competition for who can come up with the best idea for a true moneysaving (& even OS) date... Mine is home-baked goodies for a picnic on the beach :-)

  • Morning All!!

Well i feel quite behind now, sounds like everyone is making big steps!!

Well done cc on the netball/weight loss/GA progress. you really deserve it, sounds like you have been working really hard for it all. Must be positive to see the weight and the debt dropping!!! :T

KK- well done on making that step. I have seen a few people on myspace/facebook that I went to school with and would like to catch up with but i'm too much of a scaredy cat!! Think thats fab that you did it, and how nice to get a positive reaction!

Reading what everyone has been doing has made me think I need to push myself forward a bit. Would also like to drop a stone so think I will look into gym classes. am not an exercise person so couldn't join a club (netball brings up too many bad memories of red shiny pants and red scratchy skirts!!!) but it might be a good way to meet people, no matter how nerve wracking it would be to walk into a room of strangers for the first time.:o right, am going to steel myself!!!!

    Hope everyone is well xxx
Very excited to be marrying my partner in crime for the last 7 years in September 2012 :j

Hee hee, now didnt martin say that sometimes its ok to splash out??

I cant believe the questions you have mentioned when online dating, how long have i been out of the market?? surely there are still some nice guys out there that want friendship and romance first?

Ok back to mills and boon (past it at 37 i guess, i'm off to watch coronation street and a glass of wine! lol)

    Hi all,
really pleased about the netball cc...sounds brill. Good luck with the packing! You are going forward in leaps and bounds.
I am feeling ill:o . I have succumbed to the school bug and have no voice. The children find it very funny:mad: .Trouble is I cannot be ill as i have 2 weddings to go to this week. Will try to go to school tomorrow but bed early. Husband can cook for himself! On Thursday two teachers from the school are marrying eachother. They are fantastic and having been to 2 hen nights for the bride am really looking forward to the wedding. Just have to find something to wear! We break up Weds only to be with eachother all day Thursday. Then another teacher is getting married on Saturday. I am being lent a beautiful indian suit to wear for that one as it is a Muslim wedding....any chance to dress up! Not sure if i can persuade someone to paint my hands with mendhi...but will try.
Hoping to go up to London in the hols to see a school friend who is having a baby.

What is everyone else up to in the hols?
    Take care,
    Cg:beer: (that's Lemsip that is)

A few people I have spoken to recently have used Gumtree.co.uk. I haven't used it myself but have had a browse through and there are sections for dating or just friends + others.

It also splits down into Citys. It is also used for flatmates, buying selling stuff.
