I'll try..... A friend has recommended that I should see a 'life coach' and I'm really up for it, just need to pick the phone up and book the first session.
Has anyone had any experience of this?
I find it incredibly difficult to open up and talk to people. I bottle up my feelings all the time, but I guess they will be able ease me gently into talking. I think it is what I need.0 -
Hello All,
Positive thoughts to you all.
Not been around forum recently. Wish I could say it was because I was so busy out making new friends but not really been the case (bar one newish friend). Guess I have not had anything to write about.
Although changes may be on the cards as I am really considering making that break and give living alone in a new area a shot. Even gone as far as finding a home (very basic and small tho) that I can rent for a couple of months.
Maybe it will be the making of me, or maybe it will end in tears so to speak when I am just sitting home alone being bored and lonely. Obviously I am hoping the former happens!
But it is kind of scary and new all the same.D'Oh!0 -
zc - sounds like a good heart to heart is needed.
dw - I know someone who has done and that really enjoyed it. She's in to that sort of thing though so probably opened up easily enough.
Well, on the upbeat side of things: guy who was confusing my head has met someone so that makes things easier for me. And I've signed up to a couple of websites with the intentions of actually going on dates  Chatting to a couple of guys at the moment so I'll see what happens.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -
Couttsy - go for it! I lived with family, then friends, then boyfriends until I got my own place about 15 months ago. I was so scared but it didn't take me very long to settle in. I thought that I'd be bored and lonely too but find that happens very rarely. Where abouts in Scotland are you?OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

Hi All
zc- sorry to hear that your week has not started well, hope that you manage to talk about things and/or that they improve.
Dogwalker- I would be really interested to hear how you get on with the life coach, although it is something I don't have any experience of it is def something i'm interested in.
Hope the new sites prove fruitful Sammz!!
Feeling much brighter today- have decided to give myself a kick up the a**! Weighed myself this morning..... ....a stone seems to have crept on somehow! Determined to start doing something about it so hoping having a positive aim will push me forward a bit.
Anyway, enough waffle!
Sending sunshine and good vibes to all!Very excited to be marrying my partner in crime for the last 7 years in September 2012 :jNo longer a midlandsfairy... back living in the sunny south!0 -
Hi Sammz,
It would only be a kind of a 'tester' as it is only available for a couple of months. And in reality it is still probable that I would still go back home for a good few nights of each week. So on face of it I have got nothing too loose, need to make sure I can get a TV reception first though ;-)
I guess it is all part of growing up anyway and it is about time I got my !!!! in gear.
As to where I live (without giving too much away ;-) )- remote and North of Scotland, so kind of miss out on some opportunities for activies that I might like to join in in order to make new friends.
Good luck with chatting to the guys, did register for some sites myself with some very mixed results but it does take time.D'Oh!0 -
Morning all. Hope we all had good weekends. I stayed home and caught up on some serious dvd watching haha.
Have been home for 3 weeks now. I'm sure my parents have althzeimers! they forget things you said half an hour before.... very odd.
Other than that things are ok. Getting used to my mums clean freak thing again and am trying to get my head around hiding everything for "viewings" on the house. Seems like thats been my life for the last 18 months.
Work is no worse than usual. I'm off to rosemary conley tonight, quiz at the pub tomorrow, cinema wednesday and GA on friday so nice and busy.
Have been chatting to a few people on myspace which is fun and a few of the guys are local so you never know
Have a great day everyone. Sending lots of positive happy vibes to you all xxxLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
Couttsy - then you have nothing to lose at all! When I moved I didn't like to "intrude" on my friends and their lives. Was one of the times I wished my parents or sisters were in the same city! Remote and north Scotland - could be anywhere! I'm in Scotland too, which is why I asked. Not very remote though, I'm in Aberdeen.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

Yeeeesssss, the Scots are taking over!!!
I am further North than Aberdeen ;-), its a fine city though Aberdeen - well the bits I see anyway!
Yes I think the mind has been made up - all dependent on the TV reception though! Can't be doing without that - although strangely I do not watch it too much at the moment!D'Oh!0 -
Ok we're back on an even keel. After a lot of tears and raised voices and general hashing it out I think we're at an understanding again. We just seem to have to do it everynow and again. This one was just worse than usual.
Thanks everyone for the good vibes."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0
