  • Big big hugs for you UKBadger

If he sends you nasty texts, involve the police. Dont get hung up on the money it will just rot you inside. I know I've paid ex £7.5k plus all the bills over the years that he ran up. Right now I'm scrimping and saving to get my dream home and get away from him. He is out spending my money like water - how do I know? Well its in his account and he's not given his new address to the BS so the statement came here - I told him it was here and he said "just shred it". As you guys all know the banks love to chuck leaflets in with statments and that makes them too thick to shred, so I had to open it (hell I@m a woman I really need no justification!). ONce opened I had to read it - 7.5k beginning Sept, paid off Cap One (but prolly kept card open for future bad debt!!!!) and is now taking out £250 every couple of days! Boy is he drinking and gambling a lot - bet his new gf isn't seeing much though, except all the texts he gets from the other 2 girls he is banging! Bitter? Maybe but I know I've just got to write it all off cos he is bad news and I'm better off without him.

Buying furniture for the new house off Ebay, got a side table, coffee table, bookcase and a dining table that I'm going to use as a desk, total spent so far £103. I want some more Billy bookcases in oak though, if anyone sees some in second hand shops PM me quick smart! Especially if they have doors!!!

Put my house on for rental today, I'm very pleased with the pictures on RightMove, my house looks great! Hope I get a tennant soon - anyone looking? If you want to see it have a look!

I fell off the gambling wagon today :(

had a long talk with folks and we are going to re-assess what i pay them each month at the weekend so i dont feel like im working for nothing and therefore trying to "win" some.

Feel like i've had a kick in the guts. But not half as bad as i feel about kicking my parents in the guts. There is something seriously wrong with me. I happily went back to the thing i knew (somewhere in this thick head of mine) would make me feel like absolute scum. And boy it worked.

No-one put a gun to my head and made me do it. I did it because i'm a selfish, stupid cow and didnt think in a million years i'd lose. What on earth is wrong with me
I've hurt myself, and my parents. I feel totally ashamed. again. and have noone to blame but myself

kp. House looks gorgeous. I know that area very well. My first pyscho fiance was from the road 3 down from there. ;) you may have seen me running away from him 10 years ago

  • cc. Don't beat yourself up about it, you fell off the wagon and you are climbing right back on it. You know it was wrong and you are very much feeling that way. Nothing is wrong with you, you are human and have an addiction like millions of others. Get your sponsor on the phone (I'm guessing GA is like AA) and talk it through. Get to some meetings. Get on with your life.

You are a strong person and you can do it. Hey you got away from a pyscho fiance - you can do anything!

dont worry about it - sure, you made a mistake but you realise that, and you know where you went wrong. You need to take it one day at a time, but if you talk to you're sponcer, and write all this down...... atleast you could tell us here :)

  • CC Well done to you - you have stopped before you did serious damage. You have remorse. If I was a priest you would be getting forgiveness! (sorry if anyone finds that jokey comment offensive).

We are here, your sponsor is there and you are trying to cope with it. Well done and a big hug to you.

OH and well done on the money in the no smoking pot!
