Thanks for that - just had a good giggle after reading all of your notes.

Hope you dont mind me chipping in - have jumpeda few pages but may have to start from the beginning
  • Glad you liked it Lizzie, I thought it was funny!!!
UKB I have no idea what to suggest Mc is right IMO. I tried to claim some money back once from a builder and I found it difficult to know what to do. The small claims is designed for people to us for such amounts but I was scared and wanted my solicitor to help me. I would suggest going to CAB they are always full of useful suggestions and can explain how to use the system. Whatever you do nothing will change the fact that he is a rat and you are well rid of him. Would be good to get the money back though.
    Take care all,

  • Not sure what to say about rat badger. You can report him for the texts. I think you have to write the money off (when I think of all the money I've given ex over the years I want to cry). Do as others said, see the CAB see if they have any suggestions.

Hi all, hope everything goes alright with the house kp, blow air heating!!! ouch!!.
My comfort zone is 22 as well, have turned my stat down but it feels so cold.

ukb, can your network provider block his number?
You may be going through this at the moment but sounds like you are well rid.

His parents might already know what he is like so that probably would not help,
You could report him anonymously to the ir and dss, might not do any good but with past history they might investigate.

A claim in the small claims probably wouldnt bother him that much.

    Did you get your period?

    Love all

Wow. That picture is beautiful McLaren. I might even have to pinch it to put on my wall at home. ;)

UKB. Definitely report the nasty texts. Hope you aren't tem, pted to reply because in my experience this just gives them the power to keep sending them knowing they are getting to you.

Maybe you could put his number in the local paper advertising free manure? I'm sure he;d soon get fed up of all the calls :rotfl:

  • Hi - CC , the manure idea is fabulous and made me giggle xxxx

Waiting for a solicitor to call back to discuss the small claims approach , I know the police won't be interested so looks like my only route and worth a shot.

Thankfully p arrived yesterday - 3 days late but so relieved !

Last text I got just said something along the lines of - please don't think your gifts and treats were not appreciated - please stop contacting me it is getting me down - ar&ehole ! I haven't replied.

As a convicted fraudster I'm sure he has probably done this before and knows that I don't have any proof the money was a loan. I spoke to a nice police friend lastnight and he said in a small claims court it would be down to who they believe and based on that surely there is a chance that they would believe me , no criminal record, respectable etc vs someone who did time in borstal as a young man , served time for fraud where he ripped off old people and who recently was banned for drink driving although was often in a car when we were together !

I know I should probably just move on but I really need this money - no sign of a job yet and getting bit stressed about it.

What sort of job are you looking for? Could you not get an avon round or something similar in the meantime to get some money in?

Even if you are awarded money from the court he still has to physically pay it and that could take forever :(

how about changing your number to one of those that generates money when people call/text it. that way he's paying you without even realising.

Please try not to get too down. He's not worth it.

Apparently (according to my friend) men who make you cry aren't worth your tears, and then men that are wont make you cry in the first place.
