  • Hi all, have we had a good day?
Fixed my shower:T water pipe to shower was leaking  didnt know till it was coming through kitchen ceiling.

fab pics mcl.:D tried to take pics of red arrows last year  not good :o

Have seen some programs about 9/11 but remember where I was and what I was doing when I got told about it like it was yesterday. What is more distressing is those with survivors guilt.

rose for your interview, relax, wear something comfortable, know as much as you can about the job you are going for, avoid urmm and ahhh. Above all try and be yourself.

I might hopefully have an interview :D application was received on time, waiting to hear now if I am shortlisted.

kp hows house sorting going? Is ex oh still pulling on the heart strings?

    Love all Messy
  • Good luck with the interview Rose.

    Hope you get yours Messy.

House is going well, mortgages going through nicely, purchase is approved waiting on BTL. Searches underway our solicitor is waiting for theirs to get deeds so we can set a date for exchange. Mum is selling shares and investments like fury to raise the dough. Raising half a million quid is scary!

Ex was quiet, was unable to take DS yesterday as West Ham were playing on the telly and the pub would be too crowded. I came home early today to post my ebay stuff and was going back for DS later, doorbell rings and its him with a present for DS, book about starting school and a top. Asked him if he wanted to come in and he said he had a car waiting. Off he went. 10 mins later he came back, girl parked across the road that brought him and he asked could he pick up DS and take him for a while I said OK and asked who the girl was (nice car - electric jobby!), was told mate who works in the bookies girlfriend (one he was on the phone too when we were on IOW all the time). Returned DS about 2 hours later she was still with him, waving and smiling at DS.

DS said he had a lovely time BUT when putting him to bed I was reading him the new story in the book Daddy bought. He went very quiet and sad looking so I asked him if he was worried about school. He said no and eventually said he was upset because "Daddy hurt me" He says Daddy hit him on the head for being naughty (something I have rowed with him over before). He also said this was a Nannies but I don't think they went to Nannies. I'm a bit worried as tomorrow is his day with Nanny and Daddy. If I say anything to ex he will blow up and say DS is lying. DS is 4 and does lie sometimes. Oh jeez I really don't know.

It will never stop. There are too many people who want power. The latest person is now is infact Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - who will not allow UN inspectors in to his neuclear bunkers. We all know he is making a neuclear weapons - otherwise, why not allow the inspecors in to check it over and stop all this hastle? and also why test fire long range missiles?

It will start with Iran soon. Quicker we can take out big threats, like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Iranian neuclear program, the better our world and country will be but with that said, when somebody goes, anohter will take over.... ie it was Saddam Hussain, then Bin Laden and now Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - who next?

Terrorism is a thing we have to live with like natrual disasters now...

9/11 changed our world - we will NEVER be the same again....

To think, since 9/11/01 we have been in war..... Bin Laden the number 1 target - but he is hiding too much.... hopefully he will die soon so we can wipe him off the map and concentrate on getting our countries better and so we cna be happier people.

Now, who wants a bit of cake?

Well done DJ huge relief when you get it out the way eh.
MC those photos are fab my OH loves planes he has a pilots license and yep is a spotter! he though the photos were fab I think he was salivating like Homer Simpson!!!!
Yesterday was a very thoughtful day. I remember being stood in the resources area at school we were all photocopying and backing childrens work and we all just froze at the the tv screen and stood in silence then started chatting as people thought it was a film or something it still seems so unreal. I thought we would have had a silence but it seems to be very low key now.
Well anyway I hope everyone has a good Tuesday - it will be a soggy one great if you are a duck!
    wb xx
  • Im afraid I am in the no silence corner. As I tell the kids at school there are too many disasters/atrocities/acts of terrorism to have all these silences for. Was in fact rather peed off to be trying to read messages here on the forum during my lunch break and find the flippin forum closed for a "silence". Jeez give it a break.

We have Rememberance day, we have a silence people can remember then, remember all the wars, the innocents killed, the terrorist atrocities, the natural disasters. Just remember.

I do this twice a year, I do it on Rememberance day and then I do it on Rememberance Sunday - I always wonder how many of these people who want a silence for every little thing are standing near me by a war memorial whatever the weather to do their remembering. I gotta tell you all on the years when its freezing cold and lashing down there are very few people.

  • Feeling a bit frazzled at the moment - silly little things and one major thing. On the serious side, the further update on my boy's eventful party a few weeks back - he is now on bail after having been arrested in connection with the theft that occurred. He was pretty nervous at the police station - he got fingerprinted and had DNA samples taken  but now he seems fairly blase about it all.....

On a lighter note I now find myself fostering a cat until a suitable home can be found for it. My 2 cats are not happy with me that's for sure.

Hope everyone else is feeling alright.........
  • Crikey boc hope every thing goes alright with the boy, being blase about it might be his way of hiding his fear about it.

    Teeth. OUCH!!! dont like dentists:o
Good luck with the interview rose.

Hope you all have a good day.

  • I'm in bits again. Ex flits in and out, off to bingo, out playing poker, took our boy to Southend with "mates wife". Never see mate, just her. He is horrible, abusive and nasty to me. I hate that he is out spending all my money. With his brother in law who owes me money and can't pay but can go to Spain for the weekend and out to 2 poker tourneys a week.

Had an hour of screaming from DS cos he's tired, I'm hot, I'm hungry and I'm bawling my eyes out again. I feel so alone. Work is fine all day, a little distracted but I'm happy and confident. Then I come home and within an hour I'm a mess.

Sorry to post such a miserable thread but I have nobody to talk to, one friend who I could call but she is in Canada and will end up feeling sooo bad that she can't come and hug me.

How long till I'm over him properly? I don't want him, he lies, he bullies me, he spends every night in the pub spending money he hasn't got so why on earth am I sat here crying over him every night?
