This is the worst time KP. It does get better though so just hang in there. I'm so sorry ~ :grouphug: have a glass of wine and some chocolate and treat yourself. If I was closer I'd come over and give you a hug :(

  • Thanks Philippa - a hug is just what I needed. I feel a lot better now, have some food in me and relaxing for the first time today. I hope it will all get better when I move, wont see or hear from him so often.

    (((kp)))) men are pigs.

all of them. even the nice ones. a leopard can never change its spots, it can put on a new coat, but once it gets warm and cosy again it will take it off.

  • I'm in bits again. Ex flits in and out, off to bingo, out playing poker, took our boy to Southend with "mates wife". Never see mate, just her. He is horrible, abusive and nasty to me. I hate that he is out spending all my money. With his brother in law who owes me money and can't pay but can go to Spain for the weekend and out to 2 poker tourneys a week.

Had an hour of screaming from DS cos he's tired, I'm hot, I'm hungry and I'm bawling my eyes out again. I feel so alone. Work is fine all day, a little distracted but I'm happy and confident. Then I come home and within an hour I'm a mess.

Sorry to post such a miserable thread but I have nobody to talk to, one friend who I could call but she is in Canada and will end up feeling sooo bad that she can't come and hug me.

How long till I'm over him properly? I don't want him, he lies, he bullies me, he spends every night in the pub spending money he hasn't got so why on earth am I sat here crying over him every night?

    Big hugs from me too...
  • A big ((((((hug)))))) kp dont know how long it takes to get over them thats one question I would like an answer to!!!!!

Take one day at a time and focus on ds and the new house. :D Now I am back at work dont get that much time to wind myself up about `it`

How did the interview go rose?:D

    Hows the cat boc?:D

Any £1 bargains had lately phillipa?:D
    Love all Messy
  • Foster cat has made herself comfy in the computer room upstairs - at first she hid in the cupboard, now she's bravely staying under the sofa bed. But her head has been popping out more frequently and she will allow herself to be stroked..... Obviously I want her to be comfortable but I don't really want her to start feeling at home..... Plus one week countdown to dog sitting for my parents psycho mutt.

I've gone from slightly mad cat lady to a virtual zoo
  • OMG timid cat, cats that hate the timid cat, then psyco dog. You have certainly got your work cut out.
    Good luck!!!
  • Oh dear  My DS suddenly started asking for a dog for his birthday next month. We had a gorgeous old collie cross from when he was born til last year (he's 17 nearly!). I told him that he would have to be up early and home every night to look after it and suddenly he changed his mind

No £1 bargains but we are off hitting the shops tomorrow so you never know :rotfl:

Hope everythings ok with you Messy?

MC, have you seen the moon lately, arh its been looking great from where i live, how do you make sure you capture the detail of the moon by making sure you have correct exposures? and do you know anything about infrared photography?

well the interview wasnt quite what i expected but will now wait and see.

We have Rememberance day, we have a silence people can remember then, remember all the wars,

I do it on Rememberance day and then I do it on Rememberance Sunday - I always wonder how many of these people who want a silence for every little thing are standing near me by a war memorial whatever the weather to do their remembering.
Have to disagree - I dont get why people do it on rememberance sunday and rememberance day (when they usually are within 5 days of each other) yet poeple moan about the amoun of tv coverage with 9/11.

The problem i see is that WW2 was over 60 years ago, its very old now, 9/11 was only 5 years ago. Its like 7/7 - should that be forgotten about?

And i wouldnt call 9/11 a "little thing" - with in excess of 3000 being killed...

(im not having a go btw, just putting my opinion) :)

    bad weather
ok - the moon and exposures - thats easy. Best way to take a shot of the moon is to have a low apature with low iso and slow shutter.

    Settings to try next time....

    Manual
    ISO 200
    Apature F22
    Shutter Speed 1/15
    300mm+
    Use tripod / monopod

just change the apature and shutter speed slightly and you should get it - depending on the camera body you have.

There is no such thing as bad weather btw - as rain can give some very intresting effects ;)

    As for IR shots yes.

You can get filters or alter images when you PP your shot ie in PSCS2

IR filters are cheap enough, about the same price as a CPL.

If you decide to IR the shot in PP then you can get plugins to give better effects but that depends if you use NX4 or PSCS2. Perosnally, i use PSCS2 as i find it more complex and has everything in the one package.

Best way for IR shots would be filters tho.
Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.
