Evening (well morning all)
Thanks for your thoughts edgebiker, from a male perspective. It sounds like you have a fulfilling life, I know what you mean about feeling lonelier in a marriage than out of it. Very suprised that you've turned us down for the Primark meetBTW - I'm sure this isn't meant to be a female only thread, I just think it has turned out this way!
Everyone talking about pcos has made me think I really must go to the doctor. A friend was diagnosed about three weeks ago and she is really upset. When we discussed her symptons I kept nodding to all of them! How do you get tested, is it just a blood test? I'm worried that my doctor may think I'm being paranoid.
Sorry you can't make it whatamess - but we'll be thinking of you
((((peakma)))) - sounds like a rough patch, hugs to you. I can completly emphasise with that feeling of being in a relationship and going round in circles trying to decide whether staying, or going, is the right thing to do. I'm afraid I don't have any wonderful advice to give, just that we are here when you want to chat.
ukbadger - your post about driving the car made me laugh :rotfl: Thanks! I love your avatar, v. sweet. Thank you for being so open about your pregnancy, my heart goes out to you over those. I can't imagine how that must have been.
Regarding the meet, I was hoping it would be the Sunday, but maybe we could do Saturday? Are you starting a new job on the Monday? If so, good luck!!
Gosh 0020 and still not in bed. I'd better hop over to OS to say goodnight.

Hellooo
just been catching up on this thread. Glad to see your all trying positive things. Good luck with the Soton mini-meet.
I still havent had the courage to phone up my old friends yet - although i did get a group photo out that when clearing my wardrobe - hoping it will spur me to ring them soon. I really have a problem with the phone for some reason???? (daft i know) im fine if someone rings me i will pick up and chat, but im just scared to pick up and dial??????
Anyway, what i did do was ask one of the mums at nursery if she and her son would like to come over one afternoon this week - so we are sort of looking at thurs aft. Whether or not it comes off doesnt matter - the important step was ME actually asking someone over!
Also have been trying to make short conversations/snippets with most people i come into contact with during my day - I find most people are very responsive and willing to make contact.
Also had some lovely freecyclers recently - so thats been really nice, quick chat with strangers IFYWIM
MP - How was TT!!! I like them, are you old enough to remember them 1st time round or are you a newbie fan?0 -

Hi Shez - I remember them the first time, oh how that made me laugh :rotfl:
IKWYM about phoning people up, I'm the same. I'm a little bit awkward on the phone, jumping over what people say or going completely silent so always put it off! You sound like you are doing really positive things, arrange for a cuppa dn chatting with people - you go girl
Thanks for the good luck with the meet - my first even online/real world meet up  :eek:Previous debt: £14K :embarasse Debt free: Sept '03MFW#42 Mortgage OP savings £4271.18/£12000 2019

I might just have to pop into Costas on West Quay to check out the....COFEE?;) whilst you lot scrabble on the floor and pick up all the clothes in Primark. i will come back and report back on what he is like!!! I think we might need to get some tpype of identification for him you know rose in the teeth or something-sure we can persuade him. Or perhaps we should all have MSE notification SOA stamped on forehead or 0% credit card agreement in hand.:money:
Have managed some sleep and will go back to bed v soon.
You lot do make me laugh - sound like a great bunch of nutters!!! Thanks for all the hugs, feel somewhat squished now.
Keep smiling and plucking your hairs but mind the road.:rotfl:

Morning all
What a night you have had, it took me ages to catch up.
Careful girl what happened about the job are there others on the cards?
Philippa36 - I was so worried about the bellydancing thing but I keep my belly well and truly covered! the only thing I have is the jangly belt which is kind of cool but I wear trousers can't be doing with letting it all hang out. There is one lady who does and she would be ridiculed if she did it on the street as she is a little large but blooming good luck to her I would never have the nerve! Apparently you will tone the waist, hips and tum - good oh!
I also had cyst problems luckily they removed them but I am hairy around the chin which would be fine if I was 80 - I have a blooming good pair of tweezers!
Can't remember who asked but weight watchers is fab. 4yrs ago I went and lost 3 stone over a yr and was sensible etc and felt really good. Have kept the weight off but probably helped by the illness etc. I thought it would help with the happiness but it didn't really. I think sometimes I was happier larger because I could hide behind it. Don't know - if you really want to lose weight I would really rec. it but make sure you do it for you not for OH or because you thing it will be better.
I think we will have to do the Primark thing and then to Costas to meet all the flaky people - ha ha! I would rec. getting there early or wearing shin pads, american football gear etc as it can get very scary in there after lunch, you take your life in your own hands!!!
Have a good day all

I had a cyst removed Wannabe ~ oh its so much fun being female  I was curious about WW. I do want to lose weight but mainly because the cost of having to buy a new wardrobe is hideous, especially for work. I am definitely going to see if theres a belly dancing class locally ~ you'll have to let us know how you get on. Toning up my belly, hips and thighs is just what I need...
Ukbadger ~ I just snorted tea everywhere after reading your driving post! I know exactly what you mean
Peakma ~ is there anyway you can take a break and give yourself the chance to think things through? Its so difficult when real life is constantly getting in the way! The opportunity to see how things could be often makes you value what you have far more than you do when you're stuck in the middle of it.
Edgebiker ~ copy of the Times and a Red Rose (allegedly) works every time!much more easy to spot than an Americano
I don't do Primark either ~ I hear about everyone picking up amazong bargains but I obviously only get there at the end of the jumble sale when all thats left is tat
a little too far from Southampton too ~ otherwise I would be there in a heartbeat“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Morning all,
I haven't posted for a while as not much has changed here. I LOVE Primark and would love to come but it's quite far for me to travel - I will be thinking of you and will be green with envy!
I'm glad that so many of you have had the courage to make a change. Shez - good for you for asking someone over. You're right, you've taken the first step now even if it doesn't come off.
Careful girl - I hope your OH finds something soon. Remember, there is a reason why he didn't get that job! Maybe there's a better one just around the corner.....!
Feeling pretty blue myself. My OH is away for the week and I'm trying to find us a house  ! Not going so well. I wish I had a g/friend to drag along with me for another point of view. We are looking to move to a village and I'm feeling positive though that this move will give me a fresh start and a new found confidence.......here's hopingMay the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch...:D0 -
