Sounds like a great trip Mclaren - don't forget your camera :rotfl: .

Wannabe - glad your OH is starting to see things right, I saw the chase too and it made me kinda sad as he flat refused to go to relate, even though he found counselling helped (for a very short while) after his suicide attempt last year.

He phoned and apologiesed yesterday, he has hurt his foot and is in agony, later he limped round to get some different trainers. Must be bad as he says he is going to the doctors today and thats not something he usually does. He didn't ask for any money either so apology must have been meant:confused: .

Another fun filled day with a toddler today, he is helping with the mouse again "mummy me press" "me move mouse" "me fix baby puter":T He's in charge of the smileys now so we have all his favourites.

Mclaren - well done you I have always planned to go there but have never found the funds or have always had a good excuse. My friend has just got back and had the time of her life I will get her to give me the low down and let you know if that helps.
KP - I love all the piccies they are great, how do you put them in messages? My replies always look so boring compared to everyone else.
I must admit I did shed a teary or two at the chase glad it wasn't just me who felt a little sad by it all.
    Any news on the foot?
    Have a good day everyone

Hi Mc ~ wow, what a trip! I've been to NY and it was absolutely fabulous, definitely worth seeing. Have you looked at costs yet? If you sign up to the various airlines you can get really good offers send to you, it might be worth a look if you can change your dates to suit. Florida is an amazing site too ~ will you go to Orlando or further afield? Theres loads of information both on here and on Trip Advisor and Virtual Tourist so you can make some plans for what you want to see while you are there.
I'm looking to go back to NY sometime either late this year or early next year ~ my o/h hasn't been and it would be good, while the exchange rate is so high in our favour to go Xmas shopping out there :D
Let me know if I can help with anything.

    Philippa xx

    What is/was the chase?

Wannabe ~ if you click 'Go Advanced' at the bottom of the reply box you should get some smilies on the right of the webpage that you can click to add to your message. If you click on 'more' there is a pop-up with all the smilies listed. HTH

  • Evening guys,

How is everyone? I am feeling a bit down today as I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere with my dissertation, despite having done loads of research, I still haven't actually started writing. I emailed my supervisor and he said that my plan sounded good as long as I could find a "current angle" on everything. ????????

I'm sooooo furious and I don't eve know why. My OH has been working every hour god sends so I don't even see him anymore, my car has had to have an MOT, which I can't afford, and I have now found out that it needs two new front tyres, and might fail the MOT because of some stupid suspension thing which could cost £300 to fix. More money I don't have, and OH doesn't understand why I am upset, because I am starting a new job and will have money coming in. Not for another 6 weeks, and I won't have enough spare to pay for the car. We've also got an electrivity bill due and I don't have enough in my account to pay the mortgage never mind buy tyres and tax the car. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I just want to cry. NOT write about bloody annuities.
Sorry I'm so angry, I just needed to get it out. Sorry this is all about me!!

  • DJ sorry to hear you so down! I hate writing stuff. I was dreadful over the report writing time and I won't do a masters because I hate writing stuff. OH is doing a MBA and that stresses me out. Make your tutor help you more ask him to suggest some ideas if you are stuck?Perhaps? Also my way is to give myself little targets. I write a bit I like to write about then do a bit of the more difficult stuff. I work a paragraph at a time. As for the money situation can you pay for the car in installments or put it on a credit card or overdaft just until the dis is out the way and you can work in a pub maybe? Do you frequent the DFW board? Loads of moneysaving ideas there to help. I know what it is like with no car. When my car died I had to replace it even though OH said we couldn't afford it. It was a necessity.
Big hugs and lots of positive thoughts that things improve.
    Lots of love,
    CG.

philipa - have looked at expedia - but im booking in january when you get the usual % off the holiday :p

have always wanted to go, seems such a nice place - although, i do imagine waling through central park with the snow falling lol - hope for that to happen when i go next time, not this time as im going in march.

Re florida, i dont know yet - might take a trip towards the everglades, but for the first couple of days, to stay in the orlando area.

KP - the day i forget my camera will be the day hell freezes over :D

DJ - look at the car and decide if its worth getting MOT'd or scrapped - sometimes, its cheaper.

for every1 else who needs it..... (((((hugs)))))
